Reviews for A Young Woman's Political Record
notsofrilly chapter 31 . 2h
Finally. I was wondering where the sexism was. This is the 1940s, women are not equal. While they can vote, no way are they qualified to run a country. And the talk of her marital status. I remember that Tanya was considering Lergen as a husband if the issue came up. I know that with Germania being a militaristic meritocracy gender issues are less of an issue but I expected foreign politicians to look down at her. None of them did.

I wonder why their is no Olympics in this world? Surely their is an interest in other sports beside football and Magical lacrosse.
notsofrilly chapter 20 . 13h
Ah Tanya you fool. You thought retirement was close but surprise back to work
notsofrilly chapter 19 . 14h
Pff- those poor Americans. They got played and no one, even Tanya, knows it
notsofrilly chapter 18 . 16h
I love how Tanya's trying soo hard to not get reelected but instead comes off as very competent. Even if people don't like her rhetoric, they love her results. I was pretty anti-Trump for the 2016 election. But when he won, I decided to wait to see how he actually did his job before I complained. I believe you can have any opinions you want but it's your actions that I will judge you on. I'm still anti-Trump because I don't feel like he did a good job.
notsofrilly chapter 10 . 7/21
I remember in the anime, Tanya was in some meeting and was just watching all the cigar smoke around her. I suppose she was imagining her increased risk of second hand smoke the higher she was promoted.

I remember a long time ago a teacher of mine made the analogy that post WW1 German economy was soo bad that people would have to use a wheelbarrow full of money just the pay for a loaf of bread. That's tragic
notsofrilly chapter 8 . 7/21
This fic really deserves the humor tag. It's subtle but soo good.
Murthor Oathstone chapter 1 . 7/21
I am in love with this story so far.
Guest chapter 56 . 7/16
Glad Tanya's airing the commies dirty laundry. But the "cut off the caucus oil fields" is giving me Stalingrad flashbacks
lilirose14 chapter 56 . 7/16
I have think about a thing about the politic of Tanya after the war if she win it and so stay to the power. She could orient her politic more in the subjects who make today debate. Like, the ecology, the rights in favor of the women, the children, the colonys or the homosexuality and other minoritys, the medical research, the autonomy of Germany, the problems in council estates in argument it's for the German people and it's iniquitous and to restric 50% of the German people just because they have the wrong gender, that the children are the future even if they peasants, than the colonys are under the authority of Germany and product resources who don't exist in the metropolitan the Germany should give them reasons to stay, than oppress minoritys it's without logical because they are a part of the German people, than ecology is necessary for the prosperity of the Germany, than mondialisation is benefic and inevitable but will export new diseases too and because that Germany have to be prepared, than if they have to import every vital product (like masks, or bottle gaz) it will be a desaster in case of pandemic and this kind of stuff. In fact, the Germany will became a precursor for the actual problem and will permit to Tanya to advance her own program or self need like the demilitarization of mage by substitute a part of the electricity by magic energy, she is a woman in this world, she was also a child when she was send in the front line, if she died by disease it will be a shame, she will can be with Visha in broad daylight and even adopt a child and avoid the surbub's problem who will be came with the urbanization. If the ecology and the rights of everyone are assured so everyone can buy a strong Germany who stay strong and stable and like this Tanya isn't forced to return in power if there are a big problem like Pétin was, the gouvernement can raise taxe because there are more free thing and the Germany and the world will survive to a world without Tanya von Degurechaff (it was what Otto Bismarck think about to late and a reason of the WWI who will be in the Youjo Senki the WWIII) and in this way she could live a prospering life. And for the counterattack of Being X, he could use the opposition who certainly will exist to the Tanya program, even with her status to war here and great dirigeant (what she can use to progress her program) and people like Elia who adore her. Of course, it's only if she won the WWII. If you choose to applied this ideas, you could integrate their to this story (because it's stay politic) or make a sequel story. Have a good day!
J chapter 56 . 7/13
Hey is that crazy Russian who was obsessed with Tanya going to make an appearance if you don’t know who I’m talking about The movie you’ll see him being driven around so he can actually look for young girls and he’s based off a real person who was a communist tapestry who worked closely with Stalin if you look him I think this could add more substance to the story as I enjoyed the movie as well as the show. Also love your story hope for sooner updates
Ashen Author chapter 3 . 7/15
Tanya has NO IDEA and that's awesome. You're really believably keeping the flavor of the original.
Leviathan chapter 56 . 7/13
Man, I never think many people knew about Holodomor. Considering it's one of those controversial documentaries that were denied by the New York Times. BUT as the saying goes ” HISTORY IS WRITTEN BY VICTOR” there is no way to technically prove it now though. But yes events like Chernobyl, jalian wala bagh tragedy, Holodomor, And many others. Is what I hate most about commies and pseudo commies country.
Ps:- I hate communists and capitalists equally. Both systems abused human rights one way or the other.
Guest chapter 56 . 7/13
Seems pretty off that the newspaper article isn't actually related to what Tanya has shown Caldwell.
Makes it feel disjointed, I would suggest changing the article to something more directly connected to what you've actually set up in your story.
Racke chapter 56 . 7/15
Lergen continues to attempt to minimize the amount of war being made, and Tanya continues to misinterpret him. I do wonder if he understands that Tanya's approach is the one actually requiring fewest casualties (since starving them out would actually end the conflict, whilst demoralizing them wouldn't), but I'm guessing that he'll see that for himself sooner or later.

Also, I knew that the commies were covering up famine and stuff, but I didn't know they were delibererately weaponizing it against their own people. Lovely.
