Very interested in seeing where you are going with Jasper! It seems he lacks his brothers weaknesses in character, and is a likeable fellow as well!

Arianne would be an interesting match for him as would a fling with Cersei

Great chapter as always! So.. I think the marriage and the seat depends on where are you going with the story.. If Jasper is going to support one of his brothers or even making a claim himself to the throne, he should jave Harrenhall, if I’m not mistaken it’s the greatest castle in the seven kingdoms, it would also need to be rebuild but would make a great statement. Now, I can really see Jasper supporting Joffrey.. Let’s be honest, of course we know Cersei’s children are bastards but Ned and Stannis have no proof of that and in this case I think Summerhall would be better because it’s in the Stormlands and Jasper would probably end up with Storm’s End after Renly’s defeat..

I'm curious of which castle would Jasper get because their many ruin castle just waiting to be rebuilt; for example there's Harrenhal, Moat Cailin, Castamere, Summerhall, Tarbeck Hall and even Oldstones. Also excellent story so far and I'm looking forward for more.

Both the pace and narrative of the story is quite good.

Stannis has nothing to worry about. It was a well earned knighthood.

I'm not shipping anyone, I like to look at the alliance aspect.
Arianne Martell IS an excellent match - and Jasper IS surplus to requeriments. And needs money to be "set up in life". So offering his hand to the Dornish Heir is IMO a quite logical move. Politically and money wise :)
The fun part is that Doran will refuse. It will get even better - Doran will not tell Arianne about this offer - so, cue yet another/even bigger than canon shitstorm a few years down the line :)
BTW - I don't remember the early chapters - any interaction with his niece, Mya?
