| Jewelz1642 chapter 2 . 7/8 Ok so I really liked the first story. I love the snapshots of the relationships between Sephie and the different gods, especially Hades and I was so looking forward to reading a story that was fem!Percy/Hermes. But I really can’t get over how underdeveloped that relationship is. I mean I read the original story and I read the Hermes chapter, but that was like early in the story. I was hoping that you would follow up with that. But then you switched the game by having Sephie have feelings for Luke. I mean I know it was mostly Luke’s feelings but you hinted at Sephie retuning some. And then all of a sudden she’s dating Hermes. There’s really no explanation. I mean, somehow there was a random Ares chapter but not another Hermes chapter explaining how they started hanging out and developed into dating? And this chapter is not that explanation. It’s their first date and Sephie already loves Hermes?! Like where did that come from?! I really really want to continue reading this story but it’s very hard with this kind of glaring plot hole. I mean I really liked the first story. I thought it moved a little too fast overall, but you made up for it with really great relationship moments. I mean I would’ve liked some moments that were written in Sephie’s POV instead of just a bunch of chapters about how much everyone loves Sephie. Just to ground the story and cement Sephie as a character by seeing her from her own POV instead of other people’s POV’s which tend to put her on a pedestal. But otherwise, I liked seeing the different character-introspective chapters. And I like Sephie. I do want to see how this story goes but I think I’ll just try to come back to this story later on. |
