So we just casually gave Munakata the means to wipe everyone without using murder weapon. Cool. Cool. I can't see this bad firing on Ryota in anyway possible.

So Izayoi forbidden action changed but I thought that was Ando's forbidden action unless they switched. But that's impossible since the cure was enough for one person. Unless there is a trick involved with what Monokuma said...like always. Unless we're moving away from the source material, it has to be Ando because she's the only one he trust enough to go through with the Death challenge. Clearly he did it since there's evidence pointing to it.

Okay, but now Seiko has her death flags raised. I was hoping for Izayoi to die so that Ando and Seiko would argue the entire trial

I think I'm in love. This is the DR3 we should've had.

Honestly by making Ryota the main focus/character isn't all bad. If anything it takes away the plot armor from Naegi. We're so used to our favorite lucky boy surviving, sure he can still come out alive at the end, but it makes you on the edge of your seat worried if he'll come out alive in the next chapter

I got to say, this is a bold move to have Ryota take center stage as the main character, clever bait and switch. I will warn you though that some people might not be so keen as to see everyone's favorite hope boy getting replaced essentially (well not exactly but still), but I'm still willing to read more into this; I'm definitely getting V3 vibes from this. Also, why did you decide to not have the group find out how Chisa became a member of despair?

I knew Chisa Yukizoma was the one who killed Tegan! I knew that from not only the anime but the fact she could break into Kyosuke's room and plant the evidence there. StI'll, great twist of having the mastermind be revealed first chapter.

This is getting interesting, we're now switching roles to mitarai in choosing the suspect. It feels kind of symbolic in a sense, since in the first danganronpa Makoto was blamed for the first murder and had to prove his innocence. Now the ultimate animator has to do the same. I feel bad for Makoto though, he seemed to lose credibility in this case when being proven wrong about the Kyosuke, because now the latter won't even listen to him, if him telling the former to shut up is any indication. I just hope he can get his foot back in to take charge of this case again and catch the blackened. Anyway, great chapter here.

Wow, this was a cool start to the class trial, but I had a hard time following a bit. Maybe a recap of what the group found as evidence would be helpful, or I just couldn't focus easily. Also, love the implications of Kyosuke being the killer, but I think it's obvious he didn't do it, otherwise he wouldn't be a main character (or maybe he is and it's misleading me to that conclusion? Hard to tell when it's danganronpa sometimes). Anyway, good chapter overall.

Him, that important trend of important characters dying first makes sense, especially in DR1 and V3, 2 on the other hand I'm not quite sure, but it could make sense to an extent. Also, I can't wait for the trial chapter to begin, hopefully a lot of questions will be answered.

I love Miaya too and agree with that. If they were just going to kill her to show off Monica, then why did they literally just have Monica NOPE all out of there. I wouldn't mind if she died, just not in such a lazy way.

It is pretty interesting that Tengan dies first here as he technically was the mastermind so to speak while Despair is still alive.

I'm curious if you're also going to try to incorporate the DR3 Stage play's changes which are also fairly interesting, if not better than the anime. Some include, Izayoi surviving, no DR2 characters popping up, and Bandai fighting with leeks. There's a tumblr post out there which listed the changes.
