Great description of fear in that first scene!

I started reading this because I am generally a fan of relationships between jinchuurikis and their tailed beasts. There is so much potential there, it's a pity that pairs other than Naruto and Kurama weren't that developed in the manga. Here you wrote exactly how I always imagine a half-decent and sensitive person would react to a caged tailed beast - with pity. Neat choice that you made Kushina meet Kurama exactly when their fates (of being caged) were going to get parallel.
And I always love those moments when the jinchuuriki is channeling the power of the tailed beast! (Though, here I am a little bit sorry you didn't describe Kushina wreaking havoc)

I've always wondered what would've happened if Kushina—a BADASS KUNOICHI—would do, if she got control of Kurama. I mean, why all the focus on Minato?
She has kyuubi inside of her for God's sake!

Can't get enough of this. I was going to write one, but I was too lazy. The one I was going to write would have, like, her being revived by Edo Tensei instead of Minato, and if she had Kuruma all along...?
