Okay, this is interesting. Huntress Wizard is a really cool character. I’m surprised at how few fanfiction authors use her, let alone try to explore her past.
Having her and Betty’s paths intersect was a brilliant idea, considering that they were both there during Bella Noche’s attack, not to mention their surprisingly similar circumstances. I never would have thought of that.
I like how you wrote that “Huntress Wizard” is her actual last name. That’s funny and fitting for Adventure Time.

Awesome chapter. You did a great job of incorporating Finn’s flashback.
I love how awkward those two got around each other, even if they handled it surprisingly maturely.
I like your explanation as to how Finn got to the forest after washing up on Ooo. I could see that happening. Hmm... HW would probably be around two or three when that happened.

Another great battle. Dang, what a sad ending. Right when we thought “all’s well that ends well”. At least they won.

Hmm... you know, Huntress Wizard’s mantra is reminding me more and more of the song “Come Along with Me” (both versions). Clever.
I love the irony that’ll unfold in the near-future, and by that I mean how she and Finn meet.

Another great chapter. That fight scene was well-described. And it showed a little more of the inner-conflict HW faces.
I have to say, I’m really enjoying how you explore the darker nature of magic in the Adventure Time lore. A lot of the wizards and magic-users are really messed up in one way or another. Ranging from socially-inept (like Abraca-Daniel) to crazed-shells like the Ice King, it’s either a cause or result of magic. Heck, Marceline (who apparently happens to be a necromancer) acted like a kid for 1000 years.
I remember that witch. Wow, that was an early episode. And the mention of her hair... you’re foreshadowing Finn’s appearance, aren’t you?

Another great chapter. Gotta admire HW’s resolve. Still, that’s quite a burden: love or the hunt. To borrow a piece from Scripture, if the cup could be taken from me, I would ask for that in an instant. But is it truly a curse? True, her mother did die, but had she not married, she wouldn’t have had Huntress Wizard. In exchange for immortality, a legacy was left behind. And the hunt was able to continue. Just a thought.
