Another great chapter, although short! I like it - you've moved the story along nicely. And I can see Jonathan's genuine regret, although I think his judgment is pretty questionable. He's definitely not a reliable ally even when his intentions are good. I do like Kay's determination and Dina's position as referee between Jonathan and Gunter - emotions are running high and it's good to see a couple of people keeping their heads (and you notice in both cases it's the ladies who show the most sense...of course, you wrote it that way!). Very good work!

Yikes. Okay, I wasn't expecting that. Great chapter. So Jonathan breezes back in and plays the concerned brother again...Gunter and Jordan's reactions seem pretty reasonable to me. They can't even look at him so they disengage and walk away. Dina, meanwhile, is probably more conflicted due to her feelings for him, and possibly also her pragmatic sense of him (she knows his character flaws intimately and can probably reconcile them with the person she still cares about). But what's MW doing now?

I like this. Jonathan is sitting there oblivious to what's happened to his brother, and planning the details of his return. I notice that he doesn't dwell on the possibility that he'll be shunned by the group, but his thoughts and actions seem to betray a level of uncertainty he isn't consciously admitting. His thoughts are fractured and repetitive, often unfinished (like all his doubts are hidden in the ellipses), and he hardly touched his coffee (paid for with stolen cash). I think he's headed for a fall...

Okay...I now understand the frustration that comes with reading a short chapter! But I have the pleasure of going on to chapter 3 right away...so there. :)

I've just made it back in to read, and this is what I see first. Yay! I love how you write Jonathan as conflicted, wanting to be back in the fold but also confronting his own darker motives. Maybe prison gave him that capacity, even if he never thought he'd have been able to do such a thing before. Interesting!

I just read the new chapter on my lunch break & I luv it. I was sad that it was short but I enjoyed it. I luv how Jonny emotions. He's more the tough of the 2 twins but right now he's so vulnerable bc the only thing he has on his mind is getting his brother back safely.
I really hope Cameron's okay...he needs to be okay & if anyone can find him it'll be Jonny because he spent more time with MW than anyone else. He just needs to get it together & let his brilliant go to work.
