If it was Jacob (or just one of the SOUL sibs), I would casually ask Frisk If I could call them dude and/or bro but not for gender preference, but because I call everyone dude (and bo if your close enough) and calling Frisk a sibling would be too long. (And doesn't that make it more endearing when people have nicknames for each other?)

This was a well thought out piece of fan made work. I enjoyed reading it thus far and I look forward to possible future chapters.

I was confused at first with some of the disclaimers - in all due honesty "trigger warnings" are several layers of stupid that shouldn't exist. The fic is already rated T. What more can they want?

The characters here that you've presented have REAL flaws, and come from REAL problems that exist in REAL life. Sure, the characters are fiction - but the struggle is very real and common. You even say so yourself! Which is GOOD!

It's a GOOD THING that you've written these troubles in with the characters, because it makes them feel real and believable, because out there in a world of pain, there's real people that can identify what these characters are going through, and want to see them overcome these issues.

We WANT to root for these characters as they're struggling with these real world issues, because that gives us (the audience) hope that WE, OURSELVES can overcome these issues that do exist, and that gives us HOPE that we can make it through whatever it is we're going through.

Isn't that what UnderTale is about? Hope?

Anyways, TL;DR, I love the story you've written. Love what you're doing here.
Don't be afraid of "politically correct" people that get their pants in a twist when Character Development happens (I do like the post-chapter notes though). It's not your fault if people don't like the well-done stories and characters your writing. That's on them. Not you.
