This story's got an atmosphere to it I don't see very often. I really enjoyed what little you've got down so far, and I hope you'll continue someday.

Loving the Noir vibes throughout the story and also love this style of AU. Assassins, mob ties, private I's, corruption, and the list goes on. Love the vividness of your writing as well. I've been recently looking for some Cinder and Juane fics and come across a few. Actually, I just finished reading A Monster's Marriage, which brought me here. Looking forward to more and how Juane is gonna get out of this contract of death, let's see if the lovable goof can get out of this one. Thanks again.

By my analysis, I will say that the one that put the hit on Jaume was Qrow, in the story it is told that Qrow recently ask for a big loan, this loan was used to put the hit. Why? Because Cinder make one of the most common errors of an assassin, murderer or serial killer, she develop a hábit, it beign listening to jaune sing, Qrow want to catch her in her act, and at the same time rescue Jaune

Good chapter, Burk. I enjoyed the look at the more 'real world' versions of the Salem crime family and their interactions here. I'm sure Roman will be entertaining as well.
