Della is home safe and sound. And Launchpad has a new job, which he plans on commuting. Poor Darkwing, already regretting the offer. He'll come around once he sees the lengths Launchpad is willing to go on missions.

Oh, Launchpad... at least he got to meet his hero. Beakley's jab at Darkwing's ego made me laugh a little.

They've finally found Della and gave her a much-needed hair (feather?) cut. It warms my heart to see she accepted Webby as an unofficial daughter. I like it when writers do that with these girls.

I am surprised you did not go with the cosmic storm did not push Della out of time like I think they will in canon. For one, it would be the best explanation without making anyone like a bad guy from Scrooge not able to find Della, and Della missing so much of her kids' life. Second for the timy-wimy Doctor Who references.

Haha, Scrooge got those vultures to approve one more space expedition. In regards to Selene, I don't think she knows that Della crashed there, or if she has that kind of connection to the moon to know. We'll have to see what she says.

Launchpad thinking they were flying from the mansion to the moon was a funny bit from him. It goes with his train of thought, but he also shouldn't be piloting a rocket anywhere. Because he'd obviously crash it, and the last thing anybody wants is to crash a rocket needed for a return trip.

Sorry to hear your father is being so mean right now. I send you good wishes and hope that this episode ends soon.

It was neat to see all the kids together in one place, and Webby has finally seen her father in the feathers. Beakley interrogating Steelbeak was also awesome. I could really feel Beakley's fury and frustration with Steelbeak not being able to recall his encounter with Wren.

I'm surprised she didn't kill him, but then again, he needs to pay for his crimes and to kill him would be just as bad as what he usually does.

Darkwing probably took care of the Eggheads while the interrogation was happening, and I'm sure with the kids still outside, they got involved in one way or the other. Is it time for Launchpad to crash the party and meet his hero? That would be one way to enter a stand-off. :)

For Chapter 8: I am more surprised Beakley is not thinking of just killing him to be safe. She seemed like the type to think of a person is not a threat if they are dead.
Also, is Launchpad going to go crazy finding out Darkwing Duck is real?

Oh no, Steelbeak's making his move! Webby, don't!

Oh, I see now what's going to happen- Darkwing's going to visit Duckburg, and that just so happens to be the same time Steelbeak is attacking McDuck Manor. Both girls are going to be within Steelbeak's reach. This could turn out bad.

Webby's long-awaited conversation with Beakley about her mother has come. I'm glad that they reached a mutual understanding about the whole situation regarding Steelbeak. Though, I'm wondering if Webby will go back on her word and try to contact him, or if Steelbeak will recognize the Wren in Webby and try to do something. Whatever happens remains to be seen after Beakley and Webby revisit the pond.

Meanwhile, Scrooge has kept his promise and kept the boys in the loop about their mom. Hopefully he can convince his board to allow him to fund one more rocket so he can see if Della is on the dark side of the moon. He also better tell Donald; Donald might react better if the news is coming from him instead of the boys.

That was too close for comfort. There's nothing more dangerous than having to confront one of your enemies in your civilian appearance. Thankfully Drake was able to hold Steelbeak off enough to let Gosalyn sneak home safely. And now the two of them, along with Honker (Honker is here, yay!), are going to Duckburg and are going to meet everyone's favorite pilot.

Welp, Webby knows who her father is now, and she still wants to know him even though he's a sworn enemy of her grandmother's organization and a big-time villain. Webby, I know you want to know your parents like the boys know theirs, their mom at least, but you can't get yourself in deep with someone like Steelbeak.

This is all very juicy, and very much leaves me wanting more.

Ah, the library. An ancient place where people went for knowledge. Just kidding, ool that the kids figured out if Wren has been erased from the internet, they can still look in the library.

Beakley set that Trojan horse thing on Louie's laptop? Dang, spy granny's good. :o

Poor Beakley, she's had her guard up so long that she rarely let herself show her emotions. Coupled with the fact she just learned her daughter really was dead, that'll really unleash the waterworks.

Classic Gosalyn, avoiding a kidnapping because of extracurricular activities and meetings in the principal's office due to rule breaking with other students. Yeah, Steelbeak is not subtle. His tastes are refined, but not subtle. ...And now he's going to follow them home in a totally not subtle vehicle. Like that's going to work.

The backstory is strong in this one.

I can understand Wren wanting to prove herself, but she's really lucky that Steelbeak let her live through their encounter.

She seemed so regretful here. How could she be so cold in the first chapter? What happened between that made her say something so hurtful to Webby at the pool? Is it really her speaking, or is it just an image of Wren that said exactly what Webby thought she was going to hear?

Nice look into Wren's past and Webby's origins. I hope the show goes into Webby's history someday because from day one since meeting the boys, she's been part of the family.

Steelbeak. Don't tell me Gosalyn's father is Steelbeak.

I like how you went about dealing with 17' DuckTales addressing Darkwing Duck. It's a clever idea, having the actors playing villains on the show taking on the roles for real. I also like how you addressed the whole Jim Starling-Drake Mallard thing. The 17' Drake Mallard could possibly be Jim Starling's son, or someone that takes up the mantle. A lot of people love Darkwing Duck, so I wouldn't be surprised if they have Jim Starling, voiced by Jim Cummings, handing the persona of Darkwing Duck onto a duck named Drake Mallard, voiced by whoever is cast in the role, as a way of passing the torch.

Louie as a hacker is an idea I can get behind. It's something he can do while seated comfortably in a chair. I bet others would've thought of Huey as the hacker of the boys since he's more scientifically invested, but Louie being a hacker and knowledgeable about computers would give him more abilities in his skillset and would make sense since he's always carrying around a phone.

Webby's mom was named Wren? Hey, another W name. Fitting.

Steelbeak, stay away from Gosalyn. She can and will kick your butt if you try to abduct her. Remember who her dad is. And Louie accidentally hacked Steelbeak's files while trying to hack SHUSH files, that's bad. Very bad.

I'm very interested to see how the two worlds collide. It's bound to lead to an exciting adventure.

Ooh! Webby's parents! I don't know if we'll get background on Webby's parents in the show, but it's definitely a topic to explore.

Ouch. Webby met her mom for the first time she could remember, and her mom called her a mistake? Can't the universe let Webby have one good thing?

If Beakley doesn't want Webby contacting her father, my only guess about that is he's on the other side of SHUSH's spy game. It looks like the kids haven't learned anything from learning about Della. They're going to get in deep stuff and deep trouble if they try to find out about Webby's dad.

Speaking of Della, they know she's alive now. That's good, but they don't know how she's alive or where she is. Hopefully they can hash that out.

This is a good start. I'm really interested where you're going with this potential idea about Webby's origins.
