Also, teeth can not change like that, at all.
Suggest you use Asari DNA, that way you get black eyse and blue ish skin tones.
Not use strange magic like elements, that was what made the first version sooo Mary Sue like.

The dragon stuff is the mary sue, magic is real, tning.
Also, Eezo is the core element for FTL, it is NOT a fuel.
Its a crystal like element.
And its powdered version sits inside that sphere, in the fusion reactor of the SR2.

Having a conduit to better project the Eezo its effect, that I could see.
Perhaps to prevent overloading?

I dunno about the bad reviews, the heck are they blabbering about this is great! I’m just glad you updated again. It feels like the mass effect community is dying which is a shame when it produces such interesting stories. I like the characters and I like the politics and I like the twist of EDI going backwards and humanity taking a different route. I enjoy thinking about where this will go. If the Omega-4 relay is one of the only operational relays left in the galaxy and no one knows how to fix them, how the hell did the Normandy get from Earth to Omega?

Wrecks that have been in a stable orbit for melenia just desided to up and fall in the blackholes in the few months it's been since the end of ME2?

If everything in the core has miraculously fallen into the black holes, why are there still Collector's hiding there? Either Shep ordered the base destroyed, no more Collectors or she left it for Cerberus, in which case Cerberus would have been fighting against them ever since.

Heh, if you ever wanted to do a magical story, that might be a good one, is it a spell checker or a SPELL checker?
As in, does it search for typos or acidental magical spell creations and prevents those magicals not in the know, from acidentaly killing everybody around them, including themselves, if the worse happens?

Also, another problem you made, diesel engine require air, so they can not be using that one.
But there are other ways to do so, battery storage, and even some other ways.
Would not be surprised if its one of the other ways.
Main problem would be that the reacto operation noise would be gone and thus generating the wrong background noises for those two classes of submarines.

I can see them taking those railgun weapons with them, if only for when the main bay needs to open up, for some reason.
That way they would have some way to defend the entrance from the inside.
Now it it can handel being upside down or not, is a good question, since it would alter the amount of places you could mount them on, like say the ceiling, wall or floor locations that could be of use for them.

Still think they might be better off starting a Colony in Asari space, though.
As for Marta, did that experimental OMNI tool only have Asari DNA in it?
Because a retro virus kinda mutation could be funny in expleaning her long age, if you walk that path again.
Then again, it could also be one of the things that where upgraded during her reconstruction by those aliens, via the direct path, while the water supply on board is part of the indirect path.
It could thus introduce the needed neural network needed for biotics.
Even a partial one could work, using eezo discharge in a ping pong kinda morse way of controlling nearby not connected eezo nods.
Could be irritating in terms of the internal electric discharges, though.
More likely, they would be furture(?) along on the eezo control implants, less parlor tricks, more combay effects.
A combination of this all, might be wanted, in the end.

I hope that EDI can upgrade the ship a bit, in the future, like enlarging the hull a bit.
It would give her a better reason for the name change, unless you keep it D-day related, that is and focus on some other parts of it all.
But it most likely would need the help of those aliens, to do said upgrade, plus a set of altered blueprints and a pile or raw materials to use for this.

Now, was Liara the Shadow Broker at the start of this story or not?
Because if she was, would there still be databanks and monitors in that particular room?
Or would we find Miranda her Cerberus outfits, there?
Must say, both would be fun.

One thing is sure, for some of the stuff, they would need to find off world suppliers for, just to get the raw product, like say the stuff needed for Mass Effect battle clothing, like Miranda & Liara used, Earth is not far enough along, to pull off that one.
The material science is still not good enough, on that front, by a couple hundred years, at the time this story happens.
I do wonder if EDI ever had gotten her ME3 avatar body or not, though.

I hope you also watched what happens when you fire a (hand)gun into the water, since those railguns would have a similar effect, if reaching farter thanks to the higher speeds.
A gun can only reach a meter or two under water, with the force to kill, in general.
And they would need a foundation that is made to handel a turret it's firing forces.

I do know one thing for sure, the moment the crew can relax a bit and maybe get a better handel on things, they would be all over the Human and Asari DNA strings.

Did you ever play Overwatch of have it's artwork?
It's Gibraltar and Moonbase locations are very interesting, since it seems to have walked straight out of Mass Effect in terms of style.
Some of the artwork of the movies Interstellar (the spacesuites and shuttle designs), Edge of Tomorrow (potential power armor tech developed from ME body armor, mend to be worn over some other suit, perhaps?) and Oblivion it's future tech as used by the main character.
Even the movie Red Planet has some tech designs that could be of use.

There was another Mars movie, where some guy was left behind and had to survive for a couple of months before the ship could return for a change on pick up could happen.
Can remember the name, right now, but it also had some interesting designs.

Why am I bringing this up?
Because it can let you figure out some of the design work in the early exploration period.
Personaly, I think its best to combine the various Mars exploration ships with the one from Oblivion (which makes for a great secondary engine arrray).
Passengiers is also good, in its own way and also has some design ideas that could be usefull for you.

Can you picture the Oblivion rifle, increased in size, as a portable Thanix canon only useable when wearing that Edge of Tomorrow style power armor system?
Basically, lay down a foundation for the exploration period, before Shanxi happend, in the early part of that period, before eezo was in wide spread use.
In fact as for the first eezo ship, on youtube there is a nice clip in terms of ship design, could be of use for the first Relay trip, amongst things.

Also,steal the various alternative future ISS designs all these movies might have, like the various grav ring design upgrades to it.
The above short film its ad on structure, could be the construction work of the later exploration ship, if you want to go that way.
The first days they would have almost no eezo in stock, all coming from the Protean Outpost on Mars.
Even if the crew leave Earth behind them for their own safety, they could still leave behind a hint to those staying behind, about the Mars Prothean Outpost, thus starting a new age.
Think Space Race and The Wild West plus Gold Fever all combinned together, there.

And nothing says they can not check up on things from time to time as well.
One thing that should be better in ME, is medical care and thus general maximum human age, plus the very costly age extending programs that must naturally exist, there.
Figure out a gameplan, there, since the group and their later children, will naturally start collecting things.
