Reviews for The Lost Shards
Jack54311 chapter 55 . 8h
This was certainly interesting. I especially liked the final one. Looking forward to the next shard.
GM0127 chapter 55 . 9h
This was a fun take on things. They might not be alive in the purest sense of the word, but servants can still interact with the world at large.
Quatermass chapter 55 . 16h
The one that scares me, aside from the more mundane conflicts, is the brief mention of Hubble and what it saw. Foreign God foreshadowing?

And was that Brexit breakdown a reference to Arturia's opposition to it in "Fate: Sunny Order"?
LoneTaker chapter 55 . 16h
So BB, Babbage, and possibly Nightingale have already made waves in the world of muggles?
The sodium levels for the Association is about to skyrocket...
supergifford chapter 55 . 16h
well this is certainly interesting
SKYS chapter 55 . 16h
That Joe Rogan podcast is spot on lol
KiroZen chapter 54 . 6/29
Had you had the command seals, asshat, the world would have been screwed a thousand times over.
Angie chapter 54 . 6/25
Hmmm, all these resentment simmering inside Chaldea. I'm just hoping that it ends in a peaceful manne- just joking. It would be more interesting if it blows up in epic proportions. To be fair, the magi community is so uptight and stuck to their culture that the idea of Chaldea deliberately breaking the rules to what mages in general deem as common sense must be very grating to them.

This chapter actually slaps me with the reality of a mage's perspective on the value of Servants. I've always expected that they (Servants) would be seen by everyone as all powerful beings that are to be admired/feared. But then here comes mages who only see them as another tool to reach the root. It's like meeting and admiring/respecting a celebrity or expert as a fan but for the company and the executives, these people are just part of the assets that help them generate more money.

*Sigh* I kinda pity those from the Clock Tower, especially the poor guy who thinks that having some command spells would somehow reign in such powerful beings. As far as I'm concerned, there's not enough command spells around that would help you from being murdered by one of the hundred of Servants that you may have annoyed/angered.

I'm really looking forward to how this issue would be handled by the author.
Guest chapter 54 . 6/25
I like the subtle detail, the Magi that actually respect he Servants call them, well, Servants.
But the Magi that don't just call them familiars.

It just goes to show how in their own ass and blind most Magi are since they are unable to recognize ANYTHING that's in Chaldea are, well, great.

Heck the last guy had the nerve to think he would be a better master than the ones we got, the masters that beat Goetia, the masters that solved a SHIT TON of Singularities of different intensities.

This was great
snake screamer chapter 54 . 6/26
Good chap!
Guest chapter 54 . 6/24
Well... glad to see that the mages association is maintaining their position of being complete fuck-twits when it comes to things beyond their station.
King0fP0wers chapter 54 . 6/25
So out of curiosity, when do you plan to start Part 2? I'm afraid I don't remember the note, in case there was one.

To be fair, it would be hard to keep up the whole "roaming hallway Servants" idea until the crew reaches the Wandering Sea. It would be just the Masters and whoever managed to survive from the crew. Though I would love to see their interactions with Goredolf!
valguienmas chapter 54 . 6/24
Ok, the Mages from CT are not moles... At least they don't belong to a certain Foxy PMC. However, they clearly have enough reasons to join her without much of a question. So they are not moles, but must likely will become cannon fodder, willingly.

Among them though, there is the former leader of their group, who still holds dear the old ways yet doesn't seem to hold the same contempt regarding the Chaldeans, so who knows what will happen to him. Also his daughter is being introduced slowly, wonder if she will be important in some regard beyond being a sort of moral compass for him.

Finally, and this is something I just noticed: Geordolf is quite different here than in cannon. He is way more lenient and civil towards Chaldea, though that can be because there is no pressure from the environment (as in agressibly buying the place nor having to fight for his life), as well as he is being accompanied by someone he respects to some degree (Sigffried), and the fact said Foxy PMC isn't around to worm on his ear. So his different way of acting is comprehensible, but I can't stop to wonder how would he react/act once he has to fulfill his roll as Chief Director on more stressful times.

For now, and as always, all we can do is wait and see.
Jack54311 chapter 54 . 6/24
Another good chapter. An interesting look at Chaldea through the eyes of typical magi.
Future Playmaker chapter 54 . 6/24
'The reigns would be tightened' huh? Unless you got a servant like siegfried you would suffer for that decision. Good to see Gordes still having a good time, really grown to like him as of the second lostbelt.
