Fantastic short story, the whole thing was fantastically done. I also liked how you pointed out the tension between Bucky and Sam and I also think it's due to a minor case of jealousy/uneasiness as past best friend and older brother figure meets present best friend (not sure if Bucky is older than Steve or not but he always gave me the impression of being the older brother, especially for pre-serum Steve). That being said I also always and continue to think that if Sam and Bucky actually get the chance the 2 would also become very good friends.
