Well, I guess it could be an ending. Both Ichigo and Hei have issues that need to be solved, and through Ryuken Ishida they have both been given the means and opportunity to get the help they need.

Still, I think you've got an absolutely awesome idea here, and the writing skills to back it up. Don't think it needs to be some epic two hundred thousand word story, but even another two chapters with some time skips to show the progression and the outcome would definitely be appreciated.

Also, an Ichigo/Yin relationship isn't something I even knew I wanted until I read this, think that could be very cool to explore as well.

And fyi, the Black Flowers DtB manga has been translated online. Read it a week ago, its fantastic. Acts as a very nice epilogue to season 1, and you can pretend the messes that were season 2 and gaiden never happened.

You know I would enjoy having a long term story of this x over. I can somewhat imagine Hei going up against fullbringers now that he can start working on his spiritual powers without section 4 and the syndicate trying to get on top of him when he unleashes his power and winning especially against the wielder of The book of the End. Then Hei getting introduced to certain members from Soul Soiciety and Uruhara and company.

EXPOSITION FOR THE WIN! This is a fantastic story, and I loved every minute of reading it. The character point of views were amazing and in-character, the action and dialogue was well thought-out and flowed nicely from one scene to another, and that ending made me laugh because IT IS SO LIKE HEI TO SEND MISAKI A FROZEN LIGHTNING PAPERWEIGHT, LMAO! :D I wish you the best of luck on your writing!

Awesome action scenes! The point of views are amazing and flow perfectly from one to the other. :) Hei and Ichigo's thoughts are especially fun to read!

Oh man, I really hope Grimmjow is still alive in this AU! I really enjoyed Ichigo realizing that no, he's not really fine, and people can notice that if they aren't Isshin. Everything flowed so well in this chapter, it was amazing.

I read this story on AO3, and I'm pleased to say that it's as awesome reading it here as it was over there. I love how you wrote Team Hei and Ryuuken, who is actually a dang fine doctor when Shinigami shenanigans aren't messing up his day. ;P

and to be fair while Ichigo in my book... he killed like, Ulliqora in a fight? only person to die to him? and im always a bit... every single one of his solo fights are a bit punch harder move quicker bigger number things... because msot of them ARE punch outs.
which still an admirable test of resolve and will and quickness and INTENSITY and a bunch of other thigns, but it doesnt fill me with respect or admiration for his combat as his in a thing.
cause dont get to SEE him in situations where he uses it, and his akward motus operandi doesnt quite work with it cause hes NOT in casual situations where he can jsut breathe.

I love it, I love it, I love it! This is the sort of thing I wanted to see with the ova and season two, and it fills a hole in my soul. I love the fact that you managed to work the metaphysics of the two universes together in a way that makes such sense, and also calls attention to the fact that the arancar really were proof that hollows could rise above their nature and not need to eat people, and yet nobody was really willing to talk about it. I've always felt that they didn't want to think about it, and just ignored it hoping it was all Aizen's fault and that it would go away afterwards. I love that Ishida is now thinking about the implications of this and I really want to see more. I sincerely hope you write more of this universe, but even if you don't I'll probably enjoy whatever else you end up writing. You have a way with words, and do a fantastic job of making everything fit neatly together.
