Oh God, poor Mirabelle. She knows that if she gives up generations of magic Mildred will go through hell learning magic and her children probably won't be allowed to go to a magic school either. But if she doesn't give it all up, magic won't ever work there again. Aah, such agony! I'm really happy I don't have to make that descision. Lovely as always
