Interesting premise. but the set up to the story is extremely convoluted.

As a cover for him using Ashley's last name, you can say that he heard it from another person. She's a pretty infamous person due to her grandfather, so it wouldn't be a stretch.

Okay so that was a new twist but there are some glaring red flags here.
First if he is going to play as one "advanced" VI of Javik's people, why would he have human bones in his design. It would've been more believable if he said he was the VI of the beacon and self activated and transmitted/hacked itself into one of the reapers troops to prevent capture and deletion.

Second if he is a ancient VI of a dead race, here is what I think Jane and the others would be thinking how the f**k is it speaking our language when we weren't even that evolved yet when Javik's people were around.

I am confused.
