You have no idea how excited I get when I see that you've updated! Holy shit this chapter was so good! I'm loving the "game" as you put it, and ending the chapter with Dick thanking Slade for something? Gawd. I knew Slade would manipulate the presence of the imposter Robin to his own advantage, and to claim it's Jason is even better.
I really don't know why I love reading fics where Dick gets manipulated like this, but I really do. I'm excited to see where you go with this. I'm sure it's messed up but I'm kinda hoping Dick gets sucked into Slade's manipulation even more, despite being used to his tricks. Could be that he's a little too used to the tricks and will start to see them as understandable. Dunno why, but I love stories where the good guy goes totally bad until they get redemption at the very end. There's a weird confusing part of me that even loves a completely dark ending. Given the title of your story I'm not taking that off of the table either and I'm ok with that.
Thank you for the new chapter as always, and thank you for the lengthy chapters you put out. A lot of fic writers have really short updates and it's frustrating. Reading this was a highlight of my day. Take care!

chapter I have ever read. How you emphasised the classmates reactions, how Barbra told Artemis about batgirl and how Slade manipulated robin in such a perfect way. This 150% the best FanFiction I have EVER read keep up the awesome work and thanks for the chapter! (Still on team Slade tho!)

OMG. A. MA. ZING! URGH! There is just this unexplainable excitement I feel whenever I see you update! I love this fic to tears. it's honestly such a joy! Man, where do I begin? Firstly, as I expected. Slade proved time and time again to be a fucking master of manipulation. I gotta say I expected him to keep the development with Batman away from Dick in order to keep him thinking no one is out looking for him. But lol NOPE. Instead he dead ass PLANTS IT IN FRONT OF HIS FACE and uses it to his advantage. And it makes SO much more sense. Sometimes as a reader who has the whole picture of the fic, we forget that just because we know what Batman's actual plan is, does not mean that someone like Dick who has no way of actually knowing what we know as readers, would understand Batman's actions in the same way. Especially when he has a snake like Slade on his shoulder planting mistrusts in his head every step of the way. In the end, it sort of becomes a game of he said, she said. Because even if Batman were to tell Dick otherwise, it starts to boil down to who he trusts more... and WOW. Slade is so smart. I really appreciate this rendition of him that you have. While I liked lots of other stories where Slade just beats Robin into submission, I think this version of Sladecunning and manipulativeis even more dangerous than brute force.

I have a confession. I just re-read your whole story. Not only is it entertaining enough to read twice, but I've developed a new appreciation for your story building. I hadn't realized how many small details I had forgotten about in past chapters. You've done an excellent job of showcasing Slade's impeccable skills as a patient tactician and a master manipulator. The slow and steady build up of Dick's situation is really what makes this story believable, like a lobster slowly cooking in a pot. Due to his years of training with him as a kid, he has an underlining trust of Slade despite everything he's done to him. That really shined through after his fight with Onyx, with her even mentioning how odd it seemed. Not to mention Dick jumping at the chance of the second deal despite it not actually being very different from the first deal.

I love, love, love your story! I'm really excited for these upcoming chapters. I'm not going to lie, I've been excited for this time, when Slade finally steals Dick away. And the board it set up perfectly for Slade to continue manipulating Dick for his benefit. He could even twist Wally and M'gann's plan to look like a betrayal of Dick if he exposed him to just the right amount of information. It seems right now that Dick thinks he can be just a prisoner, but we all know that that's not Slade's plan for him. I'm excited to see what you do.

I love this story! The Deathstroke/Slade and Dick Grayson dynamic is one of my all time favorites. I have read a lot of fanfictions about it but this is definitely one of my, if not my, favorite. You really write Slade super well, creepy, manipulative and freaking awesome. And your personification of Robin’s fear for his family. drive to protect others, and selflessness is the perfect match. I have been flying through this story and will continue to enjoy it.
