Is it weird that I hear James Spader from the Blacklist when I read Darkness' dialogue?

I binged till chapter twenty-three. I find this somewhat disappointing. I would’ve much preferred to have this center around Jaune and his relationship with Darkness — not his interference with all the cast. This makes his relationship far from unique and diminishes the story. The first ten chapters were excellent, the following ten were not as interesting to me. Decent read, though.

So its my headcanon that Dust is the petrified remains of the souls of all the humans that died when the Two Brothers first left the planet. Since we have no idea what Dust is I figure this is a pretty good explanation. As for Faunus...Im of the opinion that either Ozpin or Salem is responsible for their creation using some kind magic or the divine relics the gods left behind...we still don't know what the Relic of Creation does after all. This is probably the source of the 'new humans' as well...though it could just as easily be that 'everyone' being destroyed was an exagerration.

I do think that the encounter with Robyn was more confrontational and aggressive than it should have been. While she’s willing to circumnavigate the law if it means helping the downtrodden, with her upcoming election, she knows better than to be open about that. Waylaying and questioning the convoy is one thing; bringing out the guns like they’re bandits seemed a bit much.

Despite this incident, I hope it’s brought up at some point to Ironwood that Robyn is very likely to be a good ally to have if he would reach out to her. And since things are not as rough as they were in canon, maybe he will keep an open mind about it.

And it looks like returning to Atlas is bringing out some of Ilia’s worse qualities. She is becoming increasingly bitter about the situation and certain that it won’t improve without drastic action… an attitude that no doubt spurred her to join the White Fang in the first place.

I do wonder though; do the convoys really carry supplies useful for Mantle? Aren't they supposed to be techy shit so Amity can be the strongest CCT ever? Like, how does that help agaisnt the Grimm and the hunger?
Anyway, nice to see our Protags meet the side-plot characters.

You should do more than just follow the character they're cased off (since, Weiss does not sing and animals don't listen to her. Ruby doesn't even have a grandma. You get what I'm saying by now), so it's good that you have more plans for these OCs.

LOL! Whitewashing? That dude was off their bloody mind if they think that's whitewashing. Your issue with it is understandable after all, a lot of people even think taking out the idea of the faunus would benefit the story more than actually giving it more thought.

Not to be rude. (yes i know the "not that im rascist...BUT" openning) but can you explain to me why so many fanfic writers are military, has it become like some sort of tradition or some other reason to write in your downtime.
Not to mention some of my favourite writers say they go military.

Man the whitewashing going on concerning the horrific shit that the Faunus have had done to them (slavery, being branded like cattle, etc) is really concerning. I really hope this doesn't get worse otherwise I may have to drop this story.

Between having Ozpin around, telling the truth upfront, having the ability to turn into dragons, and the presence of the God of Darkness himself sure has helped Ironwood rein in his more paranoid tendencies. With him feeling less scared of what could happen, he feels less need to resort to extremes.

I did have to laugh at how Pyrrha tells Yang to go spend time with her sister and uncle, and not two minutes later, she called Yang back.

Unfortunately, it looks like returning to Atlas has reminded Ilia of why she joined the White Fang in the first place, and will likely result in her having to struggle with the right thing to do. It’s easy to work for good when the people you interact with do so likewise; it’s much more difficult when faced with those who don’t care, or are actively malicious.

Well, Ironwood's little surprise turned awkward turned serious real quick (and just when he was doing what they wanted too...). I'm sure good ol' Jimmy wants to personally handle Talos if he could.

Guess there was no cake left for Jacques to have and eat too... Seriously now, I like how you showed us a little of the (strained) relationship between father and son.

Oh, I personally wasn't worried about OCs ecplipsing the canon chararacters, I just don't care enough about Robyn dealing with her own group of antagonists (but maybe that can change here).
