This story pisses me off, i cant really tell why... The useless Mc maybe. Could also be because of the other characters being condescending and hostile, I get enough of that in real life why would I want to read about a useless Mc in a story?

This is way to dry for me. I get why you need to explain and show his innovations and tell us the history of this world, but you write it so expositionally. And most of the chapters are filled with redundant information you told us the previous chapter. I know you said there was gonna be a timeskip but it's taking way to long for me and 10 chapters in you've lost my attention. Plus, at this rate I feel like it'd only be a month long timeskip which wouldn't really speed anything along. It's good writing, grammatically, just not very entertaining.

Comparing the time of Bittersteel with now is weird, first, like say before by others, Aegon is their king.

The second is who is Bittersteel, or Aegor Rivers, he is the brother of the first Daemon Blackfyre, he was the uncle of the Blackfyre pretenders, a royal blood and also the uncle of the princes who punish them for being fools is normal, but i don't think than he would have done this, because it's give a impression of weakness of the Blackfyre line if they let their vassals hurt them like this even in such conditions.

Between a uncle and most loyal support of the Blackfyre, someone of royal blood, and Myles, there is a huge difference.

Letting a follower punish him like this, is not only humiliating but his reputation would be in question. What will Aegon do now, since he let this transgression occur.

yeah your reasoning regarding punishment would be perfectly normal and acceptable in modern society ... problem is they are in the dark ages ... if you are a noble you can do whatever the fuck you want and the only reason you would get punished is because another noble hates you and you gave him an opening ...

this right here is you trying to use the modernday culture in the middleages culture which makes this feel incredibly unrealistic ...

sooo yeah i hate pretty much every character you mentioned thus far ... they are all incompetent in their own ways and your mc is religious ... which makes him pretty much useless by default ...

I don't like that Aegon keeps comparing Deanerys to her book counterpart. Here she was never raped, travelled with savages, had her child killed, and her dragons stolen. Her interlude showed that she still reads novels about love etc.
If the worst comes to pass, he can atleast be sure that he won't be sold as sex slave with the scars on the back. Pity he didn't predict flogging, if he did he could drink milk of poppy or some drug to relieve pain, and look like badass at it. Hopefully Deanerys likes men with scars.
I am curious if in the past other Blackfyres were flogged or if Egg is first.

If he were not on shore leave, yeah he got lucky. And what kind of shore leave lasts for months? The military doesn't fuck around with someone going AWOL or abandoning their post. Even as a Blackfyre, if he'd gotten away with it it would have caused more discipline problems down the line.

Not even if he were the General would he have escaped punishment. Only if his Queen spared him.

I hope Egg expressed his pain in a purely masculine way.

As a modern army look yeah it makes sense not to give aegon a free card. But in medieval times where aegon is potentially going to be their king and is of the blood of the first person to make the company/who all the leader swear to? I would be surprised and a little disappointed if one of this captain-general's captains didn't kill him in what they would see as treason for what they swore to. Or for him to not be killed once aegon gets more allies and he becomes useless.

Since as much as it talking about nothing westeros is medieval culture. Jon wasn't disciplined because hes too high in noble blood though the starks and because he had followers. Aegon is even higher and trying to discipline him is pretty much suicide as you bring the hatred of multiple much higher up or even from your own followers.

If the captain-general gets away with this it would make no sense.

IMO in spite of all the trauma Arya is having the time of life. A sea trip! Climbing the rigging! Meeting dragons!
