Ah, so that’s what happened to Freakshow. Makes sense. Team Phantom better not turn their backs on him. He’s still probably dangerous.
Looks like Danny’s more-or-less still himself, even without his ghost-half.
I take it they still have no idea what’s happening to Sam. Uh-oh.
Bold plan on Team Phantom’s part. Still, I find that this might be a little more complex than a simple “undo”, considering that this is something that’s been going on for a long time and not just a week’s worth of complications. Heh. Infinity Gauntlet...
And the Guys in White show their true colors (no pun intended). Valerie had to know working with them wouldn’t be as beneficial as it might seem. But then again, she also worked for Vlad without question.
Should they go through with this, this could arguably work in the heroes’ favor. Dangerous as the Ghost Zone is, there are hopefully still allies there.
And now we get back to Desiree and Zalam. Asleep for a month? Boy, Desiree has a lot to catch up on. And apparently, so does Zalam. Huh. I almost forgot that Desiree has memories from the previous timeline (if that’s what he’s implying).
I can’t wait for the next chapter.

Excellent chapter. Man, just like that, things go from bad to worse.
Just like that, another ally is lost.
I loved that scene with the reveal. There’s just something interesting about how you know that when Maddie or Hel are talking, the other below the surface is saying it, too. (I’m going to laugh if Hel starts finding Jack attractive from being connected with Maddie).
So now Danny and Jazz are aware of the situation. Yeah, I’m a little lost in regards to Danny’s immunity to Hel’s attack. I’m with Jazz: a recap might be nice. Of course, that somewhat helps even the odds one-on-one.
Heh. Jazz calling her donnish. That’s really funny, especially since she’s kind of the same way. Also, I wonder if Jazz has any idea that she isn’t the only thing lurking around inside Sam at the moment.
And now the enemy is about to gain free access to the other side. Not good. That “red-ectoplasm” business doesn’t sound anymore promising for our heroes.

Another great chapter. Okay, it’s confirmed that Zalam has gone rogue. No idea if Desiree is safe in his hands, but his former brethren claim he’ll be back so... probably not.
Well, this situation has certainly escalated, and not in the heroes’s favor. The enemy has the Tome of Life, the Soul Pen, an imprisoned Sojourn, and Danny’s captive ghost-half. Plus, his weapon’s busted (whether it’s beyond repair is unclear) and Sam’s status is questionable. Plus, Maddie is still merged with Hel. Oh, and these guys’ leader is back and thinks he’s God. So yeah... they’re going to need a miracle.
Also, I wonder if this split will have any impact on Danny’s personality. In the alternate-future, whatever the ghost-half got, he wasn’t inclined to hold back. In the main-timeline, the split divided Danny into a heroic-workaholic and a fun-slacker. Jury’s out on what this might do.
Also, the newly-christened Ghost King is no longer a ghost. Would any of his ghostly-allies still follow?

Another great chapter. This is the first time I’ve seen Sojourn used in fanfiction. Cool.
Looks like Danny is far-deeper in the life of royalty than he probably suspects; in addition to foes attempting to undermine or de-throne him, he’s got those aiming for his hand in marriage (and he’s not yet officially coronated!).
Speaking of which, Dora’s statement about Sam was pretty blunt but understandable.
I wonder how Sam’s parents might react if they find Sam with her other “father”. And I wonder what Undergrowth’s plan is.
The more these ghosts fight Danny, the stronger he’s going to get (new powers and all). I get some of them have qualms about their new king, but have they forgotten how he united them against Pariah or that he was prepared to sacrifice himself? That’s not exactly tyrant-material.
Looks like we get to find out what Zalam’s up to. Hehe. I wonder why he hid the Soul Pen where he did and he kept it from Hel.

I’ve been looking forward to this. Excellent start. I’m glad you started off with a recap. I forgot that some of that happened.
Well, now. It looks like Danny has two loved-ones turned against him: his mom and one of his best friends.
