Reviews for Tim's adventures in profiling
MissScorp chapter 15 . 6/19
Hi there! So sorry it’s taken me so long to get to the end of this story! Poor Tim, not accepted into the tight knit unit because they can’t get past the fact that he didn’t confess who he was from the start or reveal he was nineteen. Reid himself was hardly older than Tim when he joined the BAU but the difference is that he wasn’t trained by Batman. Tim was. Tim has been chasing unsubs since he was a kid. Fighting monsters that the BAU have never had to face. He’s been protecting people before he could vote or drive a car.

I like the nod to the fact that the bad guys fear the Joker. It shows the power that the Joker had. The fear he inspired. The Joker is everything that we are taught to fear because he is the epitome of it. The nod to the fact that nobody can profile him further shows how dangerous a figure that the Joker is. He doesn’t have a motive outside of chaos. He doesn’t have an agenda outside of creating mayhem. He isn’t someone who wants money or power. It’s all a game with the Joker. A matter of manipulation. Getting the biggest reaction and having the best laugh. People are expendable. That’s why he doesn’t care who gets caught up in his games. They’re just chess pieces to him. Thus, the fact he gets killed by one of his own men is fitting. It wasn’t the police who got him or even Batman by accident. It was one of his own men who shot him during one of his games. A fitting end to the Clown Prince of Crime.

Really great story!

Another Wonderfully written multi-chapter 'fic. These are my favorite kind. It tells a good backstory and leaves the reader with a sense of closure.

So far all the 'fics of yours, that I have read have been equally wonderful reads.

Keep up the Good Work.

Thank-you.

MissScorp chapter 14 . 11/28/2019
Hi there! Well, the Robin is out the bag now! It was only a matter of time before they figured out that Red Robin and Tim were the same person. These are exceptionally trained profilers who hunt down sophisticated predators on a regular basis. That they didn’t figure it out or out him sooner shocks me. In a way I wonder if Hotch wasn’t giving him the chance to tell them himself. Out of respect or to let him develop a kinship and trust with the team. It fits for Hotch to do that until there’s no room or reason left for continuing the pretense.

Really like Tim’s defending the choice to become Robin. Lots of people have expressed an issue with Robin being a child. Perverts try to spin it as Batman having a thing for little boys. This covers it nicely by pointing out they could have gone down darker paths had he not taken and trained them. He gave them the skills to survive things like what the Joker did to him. He taught them how to be merciful and to grant justice through the right way. Jason is just a bit skewed on the account of being dead and brought back to life ;)

Another good chapter!
MissScorp chapter 13 . 11/21/2019
Hi there! Aw Damian and Tim have finally gotten past their differences and reached a point of being almost brothers! Just took the Joker torturing Tim to accomplish it heh I thought this chapter did well to showcase the relationship between Batman/Bruce and Tim. He’s the taciturn mentor in the beginning but quickly shifts into the concerned parent when he sees how little Tim has been sleeping. Their back and forth dialogue is snappy and fun, each showing how well they know and understand the other, and their regards for the other at the same time.

It’s actually hilarious that Bruce shows such disdain for the BAU (and profilers in general) when that’s what he does on his own cases! It’s a tad hypocritical but then again, he’s Batman. I also like the nod to the fact that he hates anyone but him protecting Gotham. It’s a running gag in the comics that even Superman has to ask permission before he enters Gotham heh

Another great chapter!
MissScorp chapter 12 . 11/21/2019
Hi there! Been a while since I read this but I can remember where things were going pretty well. Ha poor team! Unsub pulled a fast one on them and left them stranded in the middle of the desert. Tim has a solution but it requires revealing a bit more about himself to his team. Oh, and it requires their trust, something that is very shaky at this point in time, especially after his blowup a while back.

The complexity of his identity as a Robin and member of the Batfamily against his role as Tim Jameson makes things interesting. Tim is trying to find himself in the BAU but he can’t trust his team members enough to say “hey, I am Timothy Drake and I was once a Robin.” Those trust issues are not simply a need to protect his family but something leftover from his ordeal. A traumatic experience like that leaves scars that go down deep. If there’s something he has to work on, it’s trust.

Another great chapter!
MissScorp chapter 11 . 9/17/2019
Hi there! I figured the team would understand Tim’s mini-meltdown. They’ve all been there. Their jobs are among the highest stress ones out there. They deal with sick and disturbing things on a daily basis. They’re also human. They know a person can only take so much before they finally just implode from it all. Hotch can let it slide, this time, but it’s the only time he can let it go. Which is understandable given he has to keep the team functioning and have them all at their best.

Dick is gold here because he’s the supportive big brother who understands what Tim is going through because he’s been there. He’s dealt with the Joker. He knows what sort of pain and torture he can inflict and he also knows the weight of wanting to share with your team about who you really are. He knows how hard it is to wear a mask around those you should trust. I love his words of caution but how he ultimately leaves it up to Tim to figure out. Support and guidance all in one go.

Another good chapter!
