| captaindickscratcher chapter 4 . 5/7/2019 I doubt the IOA would let the sgc leave earth completely due to being defenceless without it. More believable is they decided to set up a self sustaining colony, shipyard and industrial base away from earth like the alpha site but larger using Atlantis as the base. So they could prevent anyone finding out about the SGC, leaks from the stargate personnel and draw attention from earth. Even with all and personel, scientists, security and families your looking between 50,000 to 200,000 tops it was a heavily classified hi risk project. They would mostly have people with little to no family. |
