I could totally see Bruce behaving like that, second-guessing himself after everyone is safe. He's a good dad, despite himself. Nice story.

First time really reading Batman fanfiction and I gotta say yours is a great first introduction! You wrote this so well and how you wrote it made it really engaging. Idk if this is a one shot or will have more chapters, but I can't wait to see what you write next!

I loved this story. It was nice to see Bruce acting like a father and I’m guessing he is still new to the whole father thing. Not sure how long he’s had his first robin but I think he would be more insanely protective of his first child. Especially when he’s got a connection with Dick that he doesn’t share with the others. They both lived through something truly awful. Bruce couldn’t cope and Dick had to cope because his support was taken from him and he was left with strangers. I realise they became his family but to begin with they were strangers

Ahhhh I loved this so much! I'm so glad you wrote and posted this! I love seeing these little glimpses into Bruce's psyche. He's been through a lot of trauma in his life and it's natural that he would be paranoid like this.
I think you also portrayed intrusive thoughts very well. I can't tell you how many times I've felt like I need to get up to check if everyone in the house is still alive. Thanks for this!

This was a great one-shot! I really liked the story and I can totally relate to checking everything before you actually can relax. Also Bruce seemed really in character to me, I can see him reacting like that if Dick got injured on a patrol.

Nice fanfic. For some reason, I thought Dick went back home to Bludhaven. So I was wondering how Bruce got to his room so fast. But it turned he was just at the manor all along. Then Dick said he got some school tomorrow. So College? Wouldn't he be a cop at this time?
