This is awesome! And sad. I'm glad you also shared my theory that good AI's are hard to make. I guess it makes sense that AI's don't survive losing their ship as an explanation for why AI's don't get recycled more often.

I'm curious about Rommie leaving the High Guard "the first time" though. Did she go back later and then leave again? That seems like an interesting story.
