Just read this whole thing in two days, looking forward to seeing how you continue this. Been reminding me of Advice and Trust. Not saying that this is a copy, but a different interpenetration of the basic premise. Which I enjoy reading. :) Just please don't pair Asuka up with Kaworu. Though in all seriousness, I hope Shinji pulls through and can be happy with Asuka.

Ouch. After last chapter I expected that things would get thought, but not this much. At the same time, I'm curious to see what will Asuka do now.

As always good work, tbh I always feel half-asleep when Kawrou and Rei stuff happen, I try to care a bit though. Anyway I can't wait to see it from Shinji's perspective, it kinda reminds me of that one fanfiction after third impact, where it takes months for Shinji to get out of a similar state like this one. I found that fanfiction boring and mediocre honestly, it was just uninteresting, felt kinda cop out ish, like why would I wan't to read that. Usually third impact is best, when we get some drama from the characters, Asuka and Shinji are more broken then ever, that is a gold mine of drama, and you don't even have to write the parts where they get broken, it's free. Anyway I hope Shinji isn't comatose/trance out or whatever, for like years or some BS edgy lazy epilouge where he never wakes up. Other than that my recommendation for the author, is to have both Kawrou and Rei die off at the end, nothing against the too, great characters, but it really is for the best of the fanfiction. Anyway I know their isn't going to be some Kawrou x Asuka BS stuff in here, I assume what is going to happen is Kawrou is going to help Asuka come to terms or try to help her with Shinji or something. To be honest I don't know whats going to happen to Unit 1, i'm sure Kawrou can probably sync with it, also considering Shinji is tag teamed out. Also Asuka just completely left Shinji, which does make sense character wise, not complaining. Also doesn't Shinji need like serious professional help lol, tbh Nerv wouldn't care anyway, considering what happened to Asuka in the og cartoon, but Shinji is different, like he's not saying anything and is unable to do jack lol. Pretty much the only way I see Shinji getting better, involves Kawrou, I don't really see how though yet, considering Asuka did as much as she could, I think. I don't know, maybe she has to say "It's not You're fault into his ear" like some bad third impact fanfiction by some almost college dropout, and Shinji is fine.

A pretty effective chapter, I must say. And Asuka meeting Kaworu like that reminds me of jcmoorehead's story "Learning to Live".

Honestly, I hope things get better for our heroes. This 'road not taken' that you've been taking us on has been a great read, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a better tomorrow than what EoE and the show gave us.

Frankly this is by far one of the best fan fic I’ve ever read and it definitely didn’t get the amount attention it deserves! Absolutely loved the idea of Shinji being brain scanned by Arael, can’t wait to read the next few chapters! Keep it up! (I sincerely hope that this story isn’t abandoned)

Love the story so far, and there is still much left (how much depends on how far the story will go post-Third Impact). Also, the fear of forgetting someone you love's face and voice... shit, that's horrifying. Can't wait for the last two angels and how Shinji's and Asuka's relationship will advance, I really want to see the how this will work out! They both deserve happiness...

Also of course, can't wait for the next chapter (even if I've been doing exactly that these last 2-3 months)!
