You need to remember that in fate elemental affinities doesnt mean that you are better at spells that affect an element such as a fireball or something like that but it means that you are more suited to a certain type of spells. For example fire affinity means that you are more suited to spells that handle conversion, storage and stuff like that of energy.
Also you need to emember that if you go by your logic that the wands are actually like rin's jewels or runes (a form of a magic crest) they will have a limit to how complicated they are otherwise they will have a bunch of spells in them that some people wont know how to cast also it means that all the spells in harry potter comes from the wizard maker knowledge which is very far fetched when you consider that there are many different wand makers.
Also, an advise on how to explain the relationship between the second magic and harry potter's magical teleportation, you can say that harry potter's magic make use of a poket dimension. You create a poket dimension around yourself and then move yourself at an enourmous speeds to another location. (a future problem that might occur if you delve into the inner workings of the second magic).
Also you need to remember that there might be two spells that do the same thing, for example structural grasping, but each spell is a completely different thing when considering the time, resources and ways that the creators of the spells put into the spells and thus they are fundamentaly different. (Although they do the same thing).

So Ivy is like shirou, she can only use magecraft that is based in fire, I imagine that would still give her access to more magecraft than shirou with fire being a basic element. That said, loving this so far, was kinda hoping to see some bashing with Ivy and Lily, its heart wretching to know Lily basically created Ivy to die, horrible to say the least. On that note, as a homonculus does that mean if the ministry found out she was a homonculus they'd view her as an It as well and more like an object that belongs to her creator, Lily? The ministry is rather backwards at times and this does seem like something they'd believe. Hope to see more soon, when's the next chapter going up?

I find it hard to believe Ivy is a Third-rate magus like Shirou, as a Homonculus (especially a copy of mordred) she'd have not only an abnormally large amount of magic circuits but they'd also be able to handle a large number of units too. The average magus has 20 circuits, Rin has double that so I'd say its safe to assume she has more circuits than Rin atleast. The character with the most to my knowledge is Luvia at 100, but how many are from her family crest are unknown. But yeah, I'm assuming she calls herself a third-rate magus mainly due to her lack of interest in the normal things magus do, like research to discover the root and what not?

I think wizards have magical cores and not circuits, so they have a well from where to cast.

About Shirou in particular I think he was never a normal magus from the beginning. His origin in the fire made him less human more closer to the demigods of the past, or super humans like Arturia. A normal human should have die that day. Shirou survived, so he was not entirely human anymore.
That’s why even he was not an apostol or a magus doing research to be one he had a reality’s marble.

So every spell Shirou cast it is outside of normal magus comprehension. Even he using his nerve system as circuit is not possible for how much time he did it. He is outside of logic from the time he survive the fire onwards

I like the idea of the Wizard crest holding all the Harry Potter spells. That does explain the levels of spells that each year learns at Hogwarts!

Poor Ivy... but at least she has a ton of new curse words to use on people and they’ll have no idea what she’s saying!

Beyond using their characters because you are too lazy to world build, only talk shit about the world building of other, better, writers.

I would not be surprised if the viewpoint for the Rings of Power was Morgoth since Middle Earth was HIS Ring pretty much and it would make sense that his influence on Sauron let him see the Rings being made.
