Kinda reminds me of that one cartoon, where the male lead is an oblivious idiot way worse than Jaune and keeps calling the female lead "just a friend" so often it became a fandom meme, all while sending out signals to the contrary. XD

Or you know, since I doubt anyone *doesn't* know this particular anime: Tamaki from the anime Ouran Host Club. 'Nuff said. :DDD

Come to think of it, there are way too many anime and cartoons where someone is ridiculously oblivious and keeps saying a variant of "just a friend/teammate/etc.". And for all his faults, these comparisons are an insult to Jaune, so nevermind. :DDDD

But despite all that obliviousness, Jaune probably *is* the best person to give relationship advice, considering who his competition is in their friends group. Ren probably *is* a better person to go to for advice - the man is a professional Nora-wrangler, after all - but for all his zenlike calmness, I doubt *Ren* would tolerate middle-of-the-night calls for relationship advice. So it's Jaune by default, I'm guessing.
