Please continue, I have read a lot of your works and by far this is my favorite. I so far love the story. Like you said the pairing (Nate x Lina) is very interesting and I think that you have captured it perfectly in a way like no other. I love how you put Lina as oblivious it makes this so much sweeter and Nate is slowing coming to. You did a great job writing Zoey, Whisper, and Katie. I can not wait to see more about Zoey. I love how you are making this story. Please continue this story, I need to know what happens next you have done this in a way no one else can. I don't want you to feel pressured though so just take your time and I guess my final words are um. Good luck with fanfic and just life in general. Live your life to the fullest enjoyment.

pffft poor Nate spent the whole chapter in the edge of a nervous breakdown and the giant spider was only part of it X'D poor guy. on the bright side, if Zoey and Lina *do* find out about his watch they are the least likely to judge Nate for it, so at least he's in good company—and the gals have backup if they ever get in over their heads during a ghost investigation.
don't worry buddy, I also felt like beating my head against the wall with Whisper's insistence about the outing being a date. you aren't alone, and I'll be cheering you on if you decide to pull the paper fan out of hammerspace.

I liked how you link different tidbits from the movies to your story—Nate looking like his grandpa, what Hailey Ann mentioned about Nate apparent having a Reputation as a Yokai Master. And the Lord Emma exclamation! X)

I'm a bit put out about the kids getting in the school through proper means—it makes sense tho, so well done— cuz I found it hilarious how you casually break the law in the game by getting into places you shouldn't be in (in the first game the part in which you have to frickin take down the /laser security grid/ in the museum with Eddie is my fave XD) and I love me some little hooligans, but honestly I'm just glad that Nate's classmates are getting protagonism! I love the missions you get with the different groups and how you get to know them—treasure hunters and ghost club and secret hideout—so a story with the two girls who have the most in common with Nate as deuteragonists? yes please.

Finally I'm starting to see more ships with Nate, you have definelly caught my interest, keep it up cause you're doing great.
Something you could do is to introduce the boss Tarantutor and him being the main menace of the investigation
