What’s wrong with Harry? I like Karrin but Harry’s snark and irreverent attitude are somewhat more interesting

Goddamn, that was amazing. I guess this makes the third fic I've read to nail Butcher's writing style, with enough personal touches to leave me interested in more.

This was an absolutely fantastic version. I found the interactions between bob and Karrin to quite fun. I rather liked the way she used bob to perform pseudo magic using the bracelet, I would definitely like to see more of that.

How did Bob come to be with Murph though? Directly from Etienne the Enchanter (hinted at by the Livre de Sang)?
What I really liked about it was how she was totally out of the water (as such I was not much of a fan of giving her Bob, though I see no other less deus ex machina way for her to have survived) and how she struggles with psychological and spiritual problems. It makes the whole thing a bit like Lovecraft as the protag struggles with things that threaten to make them insane, shakes their worldview, even if the reason for her insanity is more mundane than cosmic horrors. Unlike many other protags she is visibly stressed and has to find ways to cope.
Stories are character driven after all and a weak protag needs to get creative to win, and that is interesting to read about.
What I found less good was that you kept the showdown in the house, I missed a sort of strategic thinking there, sure Murph was pressed for time but did Vic really only sit in that house and never left? She could have send the cops after him with an anonymous tip that he stored 3Eye there, accost him and/or the Becketts while they went to the house, etc. And I do not understand why Hendricks did not arrive with a small army.
