OMG I absolutely love this! This is so much better than how it went with canon, I really like that they get to TALK and acknowledge what happened, especially seeing their relationship, instead of turning everything into ship moments. Those two can grow up so much together seeing the situation, and the way you handled it is beautiful. I love it really! Thank you for sharing this!

Mnemosyne! This is wonderful! This is by far one of my biggest peeves, the way canon dealt with this whole mess left a lot to be desired. I am happy you took a crack it and came up with this lovely story instead.

Beautiful writing as always

I think guys don’t show emotion as much as they’d like because society has told them to be strong etc. It’s good for them though. My younger brother is a complete mommas boy and he’s emotional. And I love him all the more for it. He’s not gay, but he isn’t emotionally repressed. I have seen him cry and I’ve been there for him when he needs it. We end phone calls with the words ‘I love you’ because it’s true. It’s not ‘gay’ to show emotions or to cry. We’re only human and we think and feel just as much as the next. I only hate seeing him cry because I know he’s upset or hurt. I encourage people to cry and let out those pent up emotions that clog up your brain. And yeah it’s gonna feel good after even if it’s embarrassing in the moment.

Seriously, you're doing amazing job at fixing FT canon, couse the autor often gave us shit or forgot, that some of his chatacters were supposed to have stronger connection/relationship than how he wrote/draw this (what an irony, considering FT is about friendship) (At least at the end it was like that. Beginning was more about friendship). But nooo, who needs friendship and emotional moments, when you can draw a lot of fanservis and romantic relationship (I don't have anything aganist romantic love, but for fuck's sake, why autors forgot about platonic love?!).
I'm so glad, that Natsu offered Gray joining them! So cute and thoughtful! Finally some good friendship moments between them! I feel like a lot of people forgot, that they're not only rivals, but also friends.

This was amazing! I always missed a scene like this in canon. I mean they make such obvious parallels with two major characters losing their fathers and it's not adressed even once? Such wasted potential. I love your take on it. Really why can't there be more of this in the world? Just male friendships where important stuff happens? Without rom subplots or fear of making the characters look oversensitve or something.

Why can't you write fairy tail. I love this version and how gray leaves with natsu. I don't like most of the canon events im fairy tail but thiiisss...

This is so beautiful , i honestly dont even remember how this scene was in canon , i think they try to avoid making main characters cry unless its some manly tears (which is fine and all but sometimes they look like they have no emotions at all , of course the other extreme where they cry all the time and both are equally annoying ) i like how your stories have a nice balance were they actually do cry when it matters and not just scream or pretend to be ok , somehow i knoew natsu would ask gray to tag along but i have to say what surpriced me is when you wrote "natsu filed this for later consideration" i wasnt aware that natsu have a long term memory !
