I loved the romantic dinner and arm cuff bit but man did it get heavy and dark. It's been a while since I read the one-shot where that all happened to Prompto but reading that brought it back to my mind more freshly than I thought it would, poor Prom. A new ability? Was it in the game? Or something you made up for this story? Can't wait for the next update and to see what happens when the invasion begins!

Wow! I really love this story! It’s so cute and makes me happy after the sadness that is the games ending. As for what Noctis should give Prompto well... I don’t think Noctis is very fond of rings, and it needs to be something easy to wear but still easy for all to see. Well how about a fancy armband? I mean Prompto never wears sleeves and sometimes wear a bandanna around his bicep! So that could work well! I really enjoy this story! Keep up the great work!

I'm glad to finally read another chapter of this! Well, Ignis keeps his necklace on like you pointed out so I'm sure Prompto could as well. A Ring could work but he wears gloves, even though they're fingerless I feel like a ring would be more likely to fall off. I think the safest/best bet would be a bracelet or bangle of some kind.

I was thinking something along the lines of a choker or a wristband to show that he is Noct’s intended to those who know what that means when they see it. It wouldn’t get in the way, and it’s not ostentatious. I like how you’re pacing then with their weapons. I played New Game with Ultima Blade and all those other weapons and it far too easy, so I’m glad you’re pacing them. Can’t wait for the next one!

Well, an earring seems like the safest easiest thing - easily displayed, unlikely to get in the way unless it's particularly large or long, no issues with getting it fitted or changing measurements of a young man still maturing some and training hard to get stronger.
A choker- or princess-length necklace (snug to the throat or just sitting at the base of the neck) shouldn't get in the way often or easily, either, though it can be a bit collar-like if it isn't too delicate and might be hidden by certain clothing styles. That can be convenient if they want to be inconspicuous but also affect how well the mark and it's meanings are displayed to everyone when it's not Very Important to hide it. Prom's neck is also not likely to dramatically change in measurement as he regains future musculature, and if it changes enough to be a problem with the original chain/ribbon it's easy enough to replace while keeping a pendant, or to extend the chain in the back a little if it's more elaborate than a pendant.
I like the idea of replacing his bandanna and/or wristband with an armband and/or cuff, but those will be subject the most to a shift in size as a result of training - Prom's hands and arms are going to be getting a fair bit of muscle development if he wants to be able to wield his future toys again, along with his torso. I've only really found real-life examples of such pieces where they were pretty damned solid and thus minimally forgiving of sizing issues.
Would something like a leather cuff or bracer with the Lucis Caelum crest(s) embossed/embroidered/encrusted with gems on it count as "Family/Royal Jewels" enough to have been in that vault? Because if they had more time I can see Noct commissioning one to replace Prom's wristband. That would hold an extra layer of meaning to those who know what's underneath - a counter-claim to the branding of his birth.
