So I sorta feel like you forced the battle to end that way in order to semi adhere to canon. It's really hard believe that they "forgot" they were fighting on the back of the giant volcano monster.

But I have some wonder...I never seem to see our hero hunter mention about his Palico at all, not even one. Seeing this little partner always in cutscene all the time in the game. So I kinda wonder of where is he/she...Might be fun if this pal can talk with Kirin seeing how they seem able to talk with their Tailraider monster too. XP

they do tho? Kirin has a few forms that are different
