About the numbers, whether you spell them out or use the digits, you want to keep it consistent.

You wrote 17 and 18 throughout most of the fic.

Otherwise this looks like a great fic. I'm interested to see where things go with 17 and Trunks around the house, and especially what Vegeta would say about it.
