Still, does this mean that Mercury Black gets to call himself Mercury Arc in the future? Cinder and Emerald would have lower chance of being adopted though I doubt they would mind.

After all, they both want to become Mrs Arc and if Papa Arc gives them a chance to redeem themselves...they might be able to stay in the running for Jaune's heart.

Nice chapter but in your fanfic strange library I got idea for a reaction in that story based off vermintide the warhammer game but a bit different but similar, where team RWBY and JNPR must do task for glynda and ozpin with ozpin giving the briefing like franz loner does to you when you start a mission or glynda can do it your choice, and then either glynda or ozpin send the 2 teams to there mission, now sense this is based off vermintide there must be a degree of gore as the two teams slaughter white fang and Grimm to complete there final objective such as blowing something up or killing someone, now for some spice you can make both teams older as I have feeling it be better that way but once again your choice now in the both vermintide games there’s banters between the characters and they have special ability’s so here’s their special abilities they’ll have there semblances but with some spice here it is.

Ruby: silver rage, ruby will ditch her shirt (not her bra or anything else just the shirt) and her eyes will glow silver, like bardin if you choose the slayer class where can equip duel axes, ruby will pull out two mini syths and go into a rage of sorts which she lunges in using her semblance and during silver rage Ruby’s attacks will go faster she’ll be faster and her attacks where be far more vicious and damaging as she splits body’s, limbs and heads and where she lands enemy’s are knocked down, however during this faze she’ll take more damage and she cant use crescent roses gun mode and when her rage ends she’ll be stunned momentarily.
Battle cry when activated: “the reaper is here for your souls!”, “kill everything!”, “my eyes shall kill all that is evil!”.

Weiss: glyph wall, Weiss summons a wall of glyphs looking like a firing line and like a firing line the glyphs shoot in rabid succession gunning all but teammates in the way.
Battle cry’s: you choose.

Blake: shadow blades, Blake will go invisible with her shadows leaving a clone behind and during this faze as long the clone lasts and stays she’ll be able to attack faster and crits (like severing or shooting heads or limbs) will back a greater punch and precision.
Battle cry’s: you choose.

Yang: dragon protector, during this faze teammates near her gain a ring of firing burning those too close and herself will gain a massive damege resistance and her fist with a well place punch can make in unlucky fool blow up like balloon.
Battle cry’s: “ my flames will protect you!”, “my flames burn evil!”.

Jaune: fight!, kill!, death!, when activated he’ll take his semblance aura amplification and buff nearby friends with making them take reduced damage and dish out more in return and will knock enemy’s down to the ground.
Battle cry’s: “fight!, kill!, death!”, “kill for old Jaune!”, “ my shield will defend!”.

Nora: pancakes!, Nora will leap into the air and anything below her besides friends will be turned into chunky pancakes.
Battle cry’s: you choose.

Pyrrha: shield and stab, Pyrrha will brace herself with her shield and javelin (or spear) and charge forward knocking down enemy’s in the way and with her javelin enemy’s directly in front of her will die and get skewed.
Battle cry’s: you choose.

Ren: flower of death: ren becomes a cyclone of death knocking enemy’s down and turn them in bloody confetti as dust is shot everywhere and blades cut.
Battle cry’s: you choose.

Banter: you choose what they talk to each other about and such.

I know that’s a lot but I can guarantee it will be badass and if don’t know the game just watch some videos and you’ll get a good idea quickly, anyway good luck
