So I finally decided to stop being lazy and leave my review for the latest chapter. It certainly had quite a bit of content.
Red spending time with Deliah was nice, makes sense they would bond over pokemon since it is pretty much the only thing they have in common (they are virtually strangers otherwise). I hope that Red's relationship with her will continue to be relevant over the course of the story, after all it is not the kind of thing that gets fixed overnight. Not to mention she will certainly lose her marbles when, (not if), Red gets somehow entangled with travelling to forbidden areas. Perhaps a (hot) enterprising archaeologist/researcher will appreciate having a field researcher with her when she is working for Parthenon in the field?
Poor Mawille keeps getting screwed over, instead of pokepuffs she gets training with Deliah over using fairy energy, this has to be both humiliating and frustrating for her. At least this will put things in perspective and allow her to make peace with the "Notebook" (I always get the impression that for Mawille it is the equivalent of a Death Note). Also I really like the way you make Mawille able to punch way above her weight class with all the tricks and strategies, hell if Mawille manages to control her whole weight and fly/float then the mist/single clone technique could be even more effective. After all who would expect a Mawille to attack from above?
And we get a glimpse of our Lord's mind. I can only imagine how tedious is dealing with all the worshippers but He perseveres, as expected of our Lord. As for his fascination with Mia? I imagine that since He has unraveled all mysteries of the pokemon world, a being that should be a Gardevoir but isn't would offer some mild distraction from the dullness of everyday life.
Seeing Cynthia not being the champion and in fact not even wanting to be a trainer is certainly unexpected. I wonder why Oak sent her an invitation? She might be a genius but she is basically a nobody in the grand scheme of things at this point. Perhaps Oak extended the invitation out of respect to her father? And speaking of her father, did this guy mess with fucking Eternatus? That thing makes other legendaries look like rattatas and he thought it would be good idea to poke around? And to top that, despite leaving basically a letter that more or less state "do not touch this thing" Oak decided it would be a good idea to have a go, no wonder their team almost got wiped out (though Oak did not even confirm what happened and their team died, it could be they did not even manage to reach Eternatus?).
Finally, we get to see another prospective member of Red's team and it is the long-awaited dragon. A dratini is so common that it is unexpected, well played. Now all he has to do is impress the dragonite, no pressure right? If Red has to battle dragonite to prove his worthiness I can only see Mia having a chance and it will still be a long shot.
ps this chapter had so much foreshadowing/chekhov's guns/setting of new plots that I honestly lost count.

Most important: The Cynthia ship has set sail !
Literally

Longtime fans of pokemon will remember that prof Oak had a dragonite
But I looked over the story and Drago hasn't mentioned before. It's fairly easy to guess he is Oak's championship level pokemon but only if you remember the above. Also think that Red probably took care of it a la Game of Champions. Unless you're planning on an other flashback, probably a good idea to edit an older chapter to introduce him.
(Personal note: I hate dragonite just becuase of the physical transformation from dragonair to dragonite. Sure it set the image of your standard dragon in kids minds for generations but dragonair and dratini are much better looking)

Good to see Red reaching out to Delia, and her taking it. I think she's showing some tunnel vision again though. She's fulfilling Red's request with enthusiasm but focusing on Mawile while Red's going off. That may just be an artefact of her habit as a researcher. On the other hand considering Red's personality thta may just encourage him to reach out more once he sees the results of her training. Baby steps
Mawile of course doesn't care for anything that is not food.
Also I think someone forgot to tell her then end goal. I'm sure she would be delighted ast the though of her jaws hitting harder, and much less delighted at floating around, using her jaw as a helicopter blade.
The notebook is of course a running gag now. Still enjoyable but take care it doesn't become stale.

We finally see into the mind of Shellder. I have to say it's not exactly what I was expecting. Is this common to all Shellder or is Red just unique in every way.
Watson speaking, he's crazy and needs therapy desperately. Also a narcisist.
Doyle speaking, his mindset is a delight to a reader. His approach is strange and the 'everything must become Shellder' and 'experimentation' are done in a unique, non-horror movie way which makes it fun.
There have to be some advancement in it though, else again his misunderstanding will become stale and non-enjoyable much like when we throw popcorn against the screen when the gag hasn't changed in 5 seasons.
How Red turns Shellder into a professional battler will require some twisting lines of thought though maybe just suggesting that he will learn more on how to be a Shellder and that he will spread fame of Shellder and make others want to be Shellder if he is a champion level pokemon may convince him.
I wonder what Shellder thinks about Cloyster. Is it another species. Something weird which happens to some unfortunate Shellder. Or a form of apotheosis.
Either way his identity crisis will be amusing.

The Cynthia ship of course has set sail. Their meeting is guaranteed because of the link with Oak. I wonder what she'll think of that slightly better than most trainers kid who has what she wants on a platter and is throwing it away. Of course she may also sympathise since he's getting to do what he wants unlike her.
As for her struggle, it's nothing new or rare. Even irl, families force children onto 'successful' paths of life. Though being so successful is rarer. And most people who do become successful tend to have a mid life crisis and start trying skiing. Or painintg.
Either way looking forward to more Cynthia.
Also good point introducing Atsuhashi. While the Atsuhashi and his wife problem is not uncommon, it's easily relatable and makes readers invested in the story. Even forcing Cynthia on the trainer's path can be related to, while you can do the same for her not wanting to. It's difficult not to root for both sides.
As for Atsuhashi, he's a recurring plot point now, who can foster conflict and events and help the plot forward.

For the dragon thing with Red, in some ways it feels unfair to Mawile, and many would feel afraid she'll get sidelined.
This is a common problem in pokemon. Even in the anime, we focus on a couple of pokemon more, rest are constrained to arcs. In fics, often one or two pokemon are focused on more. I can't remember a fic but they introduced a dratini who took up a lot of screen time for the next few chapters, then faded into the background, then came into focus again where she was sent off to Oak while she molted and was delicate. Couldn't fight and Ash already had more that 6 pokemon so...
Not sure if you'll expand the team limit. Can't remember if it's been mentioned before. With the lore set up till now, it would feel natural if team limits were expanded at certain ranks like high-intermediate and so on.
Either way, have to remember not to forget any member of the team so much. Making growlithe a secondary character is acceptable. Not even mentioning him in team training (an example, you haven't done something like this) is not.

This chapter is in many ways an exposition chapter which sets up for the next arc. Kudos on not making it a data dump. The shifting view points help with that I think, allowing a variety of information to be given naturally without making any one scene take too long. A good balance between telling and showing.
The galar mission is a Chekov's gun which serves to introduce Pokemopolis for a future arc as well as give one part of a reason for Cynthia to appear. Combined with the pewter event giving a realistic reason and the conflict between Cynthia and her family, her appearance does not seem derived at all, a relative rarity when not following that stations of canon.
The stone around Delia's neck is amost certainly foreshadowing as is the fact that Delia caused it to crumble. (Anybody else getting opening the cursed tomb feeling?)
Not sure about Gary being a prodigy, we haven't seen anything about him yet

Had to look up Eternatus on the web. The prophecy in this gives an ultra beast feel espite him not being one as far as I know. Him being an extraterrestrial legendary also raises question as to lore.
Also Oak's stubborness is surprising, as befitting a cvhampion level trainer

Overall a good chapter which serves it's purpose (setup and exposition) well

Mid-life crisis... REALLY!? On second thought, maybe it might be appropriate since we don't really know Mawile's age and she could be old enou- On second thought, she is the perfect picture of youth and I have definitely not changed my opinion because a set of steels jaws were about to clamp on my head.

Mawile was, as usual, the adorably selfless*cough* creature trying to protect her trainer from bad influences*cough* while trashing the dreams of trainer in a single breath. Truly, none could achieve such triumph in so short a time. And I L.O.V.E.D the bonus glimpse into the possibly adorably murderous ping-pong ball dominating dopey creatures in the near future.

Good job on showing a truly fantastic Mr. Mime and the idea that Mia cannot just bulldoze her way through anyone.

Cynthia... God, Cynthia. Do you have to break our expectations every single time? Or is it your idea that by continuing to break our expectations, we keep expecting different, only to get blind-sided by routine in the future arcs, uh? A runaway is not just new, but not ever explored for her and certainly not as a person who might wish to be something other than the glorious POKEMON CHAMPION. There's quite a bit of fun in there, especially since, like Red, she is pursuing a dream that is not wholly compatible with her talents and one which her family does not wish upon her due to past experiences. Definitely looking forward to the comedy of her learning about Red and Mawile finding a yellowette who DARES to get closer to Red by COPYING HER COLOR SCHEME... Mmmm... Definitely need to get some popcorn for that meeting.

Baetylus is greek for "Navel of the World". In legend, Zeus sent two eagles to traverse the realm and I am very much wondering if that is somehow being translated into Zamazenta and Zacian, two wolf like legendary who possess the key to keeping Eternatus suppressed.

Also, Ashkanar. ASH-kanar. Am I going to find that, much like the protagonist of the same name, the so-called ruins of the kingdom are really a bunch of pristine structures that are totally empty? Are they supposed to be a symbol of how Ash exists yet is empty within? Does the immortal God-king refer to the fool who refuses to grow up and thereby brings destruction to the kingdom, just like the worthless pseudo-teenager we all have grown to dislike, perhaps hate, maybe even despise? Perhaps, the answers for all these questions lie at the end of a bloody legacy that Red and Team might soon traverse, much to the chagrin of Mawile.

Also, the most terrifying line in this entire chapter, perhaps the story: "Perhaps Shellder should start researching how to be a mia?"

The chapter was great as always. I can’t say I’m happy at the sight of a dratini. I love the pokemon and it’s evolution, but it’s so overused in stories that I get sort of bored reading on it.

I was hoping for an unorthodox dragon, maybe even a dragon that’s not a pseudo legendary like a druddigon. I hope you’ll do some good work writing with it, otherwise it’ll just seem like a prop used for furthering Red’s own growth.

Finally, Cynthia is here. I really hope that Cynthia and Red progress on a similar level. Kinda like travelling companions. Awesome update. Good work Red on getting that dragon you've always wanted

I wonder, is Mawile gonna get access to her Mega Evolution? She’d def pack a punch with that

... Of course to get it he has to fight a champion level Pseudo legendary and one used by the prof himself,But its A typical Thrusday for Red a this point .
A Dratini huh ,I woudvr prefer something more non-orthodox Like the Axew but that would be encroaching on Mawiles territory ,So I guess this works ,Then again it had been something like Dreepy ,it wouldn't have the same impact when Drago challenged red

The Mawile Interlude ,Its interesting to see how Much Delai and Reds Different training styles Affect her ,Even though fundamentally theyre very similar in using the scientific method ,Red trust Mawile to know what she's doing but merely sits down and teaches her the fundamentals of fairy energy ,Trusting her to take it from there and correcting any mistakes she may make in the process,Now Mawile knows that the Notebook is a Saint in comparision to Delia ketchum
She's managed to find out partly why reds upset through Mawile Logic which I found Hilarious

Delia Mr. Mime Being an Elite level Pokemon this whole time makes enough sense i mean Kaz was quite powerful and if Delai was trekking through unexplored ,Life threatning Areas it makes sense that any pokemon she would have would be very capable, Mr. Mime also really hammers in the difference in skill between Mia ,a novice and Him A true Bonefide Elite. Though the fact that Mia and Him get along really speaks volumes for Mias Personality.

Mawile controlling her weight by Lightening herself Jumping up,Maybe even tossing her Jaw around to launch herself up amd then increasing her weight while Pumping her weight and dropping down,Slamming all that momentum into an Enemy ... sounds Devastating ,Maybe she can use her jaw like a guillotine this way, I hereby dubb this New Move,

Legendary being non benevolent Eldrtich dieties was kinda a given with the more realist setting . Though the Necklace ... wonder if that'll become plot relevant later down the line .

Atsushi Shirona...Grandfather to Cynthia Shirona,A man Gone insane trying to comprehend things unknown and promptly keeled over and died before he was rescued ,His last words inscribed were pretty chilling though. Be eternatus ,The eternally Cycle of fear which all beings share in common ,To hunger for more and To Ascend to a higher plane of existence ,Maybe ,You can never really tell with these Eldrtch beast and dark unholy secrets really.

Also Shellder trying to be Mia,Looks like we have a new God queen... Nah,This is probably just a phase . Also The days Bubbling in the fountain was actual Contemplation of Mias exact nature as expected of our Shelly Lord.

Liking the parallel between Cynthia and Red here ,foils to one another . Cynthia comes from a Family of battlers,She herself possessing Inane amounts of Natural talent yet desring to pursue research despite her Family Pushing her in the teianer direction, Even giving her plenty of Resources and A dragon starter ,A Gible at that! Something rarely heard of,Her life was something planned out for her by her Family with a set destination
,Whlle Red was a someone who had his life planned out But Obviously that didn't work out since everything has pretty much spiralled beyond Control for everyone involved and Nobody is safe ,Not Red ,His family ,Team,Future Team or his enemies Hehahah. He also has a reaercher mom and The support of Prof. Oak pushing him to become one despite his own desires to become a trainer ,

I really liked the bit from Shellder's point of view and his dream
