I meant to review this weeks ago and got bogged down, but I just wanted you to know. I was a little leery of reading this story because hurt/comfort fics tend to depress the hell out of me, but this was SO beautifully written, I was hooked from start to finish. The deep level of insight you have into character relationships and development is incredible, as is your talent for overall storytelling. I eagerly looked forward to each upcoming chapter (even the ones that were emotionally difficult to get through), and the ending made me smile and heave a sigh of satisfaction. Thank you so much for such a lovely story. I will be sure to check out more of your work here soon.

Your story is both incredible and heart shattering. I must confess after reading up to Crowley finally going back home with Aziraphale, I tried to read about the flashbacks of Crowley’s torment, but alas my heart truly couldn’t take it. I ended up skipping past the most of the first parts(flashbacks) of the remaining chapters to the present because I couldn’t handle it. I know what Gabriel did, but to read it in all it’s gruesome details was simply more than I could bear. I am so sorry, but I did managed to make it to the last chapter. Your story promoted anguish, hatred, heartbreak, sweet relief, love, and hope in this reader. You truly have a gift for writing. Keep going wherever your inspiration takes you.

I stumbled upon your fic just to days ago and literally couldn't stop reading until I got to the end. It was honestly so brilliantly written, the suspense at every moment just completely killing me. I'm not ashamed to admit I must have cried more than once during reading.
