Reviews for A Prison Into a Sanctuary
woodmr13 chapter 1 . 8/29/2019
I realize how overdue this review is, but better late than never I suppose.

Let me just start this thing off by thanking you so much for your kind words about me and my work. It's a genuine honor that you and so many others keep up with my stories and enjoy what I put out there, and I cannot put into words how thankful I am for every single reader and loyal fan. It honestly means the world to me, and had my thirteen-year-old self been told just how far his stories would come and how many people would end up reading them over the years, I think he probably would've cried.

As for the story itself, I really enjoyed it. It was very interesting seeing how you combined the theories and speculation we'd previously discussed with your own ideas on how an epilogue of sorts to The Arrival would play out, and it was even more fun getting to see your interpretations of the characters and their mannerisms/personalities for a change instead of the other way around. It's nice to have the roles reversed and be a reader instead of a writer every now and then.

Perhaps my single favorite aspect of the entire story is how you wrote the defeat of Slender Man. Unlike so many other interpretations I've seen, you are one of the very few people who've portrayed Him as what He really is; An eldritch god-demon who in no way shape or form would be even remotely harmed by conventional means, let alone killed by them. Instead, you went down the road of banishing Him from our world forever via symbolic/ritual means and left the rest up to our interpretations. I cannot express to you how happy it makes me to see someone finally, FINALLY giving Slender Man the respect He deserves.

Overall, this was a very fun read and I look forward to seeing any future projects you have planned.
