Interesting chapter. I like story and character building chapters and it looks like the stage is being set for the iconic Midgar Sabotage scene. I wonder how the cargo train attack will work into their war against Shinra. I really enjoyed the developing relationship between Cloud and Tifa. And Zack and Aerith are awesome. I enjoy seeing how their relationship blossoms from what it was in the past to what it is now.

I especially found it funny how aerith was flirting with Tifa. I wonder how that routine will move forward under the Turks supervision.

I loved this chapter! Nice decoy by Tifa to get Aerith to the bar. I wonder how Aerith will react to Zack and Cloud's past? It's awesome to see Zack and Aerith's reunion. I wonder what Aerith was noticing about Cloud? I wonder how Cloud's personality will develop itself with his tangled memories.

Another exciting and fun chapter! I enjoyed seeing Cloud regain his consciousness. It looks like Tseng has a kind side but how far will that extend when Zack eventually goes in search of Aerith? And I can't wait to read the reunion between them. I wonder how Zack is really processing being gone for 5 years now that he knows. I'm curious to see how Avalanche will treat them. Wow, this is such a good story. I really like the concept. and the introduction is very well written. Reading from Aerith's perspective was a nice take and it really gives me a sense of what her life was like. Then you changed over to Zack and Cloud and that was also a very good and interesting perspective. I am noticing the changes and how you are leaving out the elements of the expanded lore of the game and quite honestly, I find that very refreshing.

Zack and Cloud are my two most favorite characters and I always love reading the fan fics where he survived, but a lot of them turn out really poorly written or with them as a couple (not that I mind that kind of stuff I just like when Zack is paired with Aerith and Cloud with Tifa).

You put a lot of thought into your chapters and it’s one of my new favorites next to JayDeeGrey’s Reduced to Specimens series. You both write very similarly and do an excellent job with dialogue and staying true to the all the characters known personalities. Plus you actually write decently long ones (as opposed to some that are far too short).

what if you made a dirge of cerberus fanfic with an oc, hardly see any of those stories, and more shelke and shalua moments (like maybe your oc is paid by shalua to help find her long lost little sister). or a fanfic where vincent or cloud and tifa take shelke in and adopts her. just a thought, and typing again in case the message didn't get through.

this story is so lovely! i think you wrote tufa and cloud well.. and i like what you did to get aerith ti meet zack again! the ending is a little ominous.. i wonder if aerith is sensing the jenova within cloud..

This was a great chapter. I reread the story because it's been a while since I read it. I am really interested to find out how much Cloud is going to have issues with Zack there helping him through with it. Already he seems to be doing better then the Cloud in the original story... hmmm... very interesting.

Wow, finally an update! I’ve been waiting for this, and I’m so glad it’s finally here. Thank you for writing this story, and plugging through to present it.

With that said, I’m also finally so relieved Zack and Aerith finally reunited. That searing kiss he gave her after 5 years, the tears she shed when she saw him...I always wanted them to have a happy reunion. I hope when they are alone he remarks on her pink dress! Looking forward to the next update.

A very excellent chapter again - but poor Aerith TT she and her Mother also suffered so much from shinra's hand, no matter how Nice Tseng try to be. Seriously, if we had a top 10 of the FF heroes Who suffered the most, almost half the cast of FF7 would be in it.
I loved when Tifa wondered if Zack and Cloud were a couple and yeah they are in a lot of fan fics, but it's more of a bromance between them in canon. And yes Tifa we know that Cloud is gorgeous, hell if there was a top of the most beautiful heroes from FF, Cloud and Tifa would sure be in it (as Well as the whole cast of heroes from FF Dissida plus Sephiroth and Kuja) but the most touching part of the chapter was Cloud and Tifa reunion

Yeesses ! I almost cried when reading about Tifa taking care of Cloud and Zack telling her about what Shinra did to them T - T. that's not a remake of FF7 we need, but a canon divergence from the whole story ! A game with Zack, Tifa and Cloud as a power trio (and then a power quator with Aerith joining the picture -) but before that they probably will have to take care of baby Chocobo Cloud until he gets better. Poor boy is biologicaly 21 years Old but is still a young 16 years Old in the head. I don't remember Zack age but I think he is at least 2 or 3 years older than Cloud.
But after this Zack will joindre AVALANCHE in a blink, or become a mercenary like Cloud did in FF7

Tseng you bastard, you know that Aerith is Zack's girlfriend, and that the only reason he killed Shinra grunts is because you and this trash corporation betrayed him and used him and his Best friend as lab rats, said Best friend isn't even a threat in the state he is ! Why won't Shinra Leave them alone ? Hojo abandoned his project on Zack and Cloud anyway, were they going to let those poor boys rot in Mako tanks ? Poor Cloud TT and poor Zack too, they deserved better. Why did it take Sephiroth to return for Shinra and turks to understand how much they fucked up ? Anyway, I like to imagine what FF7 would be if Zack have survived. Hé would have been a funny and Nice addition to AVALANCHE, and Cloud probably would have retained his personality from Crisis core, while probably suffering from PTSD and needing his big bro Zack and his future girlfriend Tifa to find the strength to figth.
