Holy heck, you're such an amazing writer. The characterizations were on-point, the action was so well-written, I love Nathalie more than life itself and this just hit me with so many feels for her... I love the way this story ended and I look forward to binging the sequel at the speed of light to see what happens next. I can't wait to see how this all comes together, and MMMM I'm hooked! I love this fic so dang much, and I can't wait for more angst to wreck me when I read the sequel :,D.

I loved that story. It was really interesting to see this vision of Mayura and Nathalie's personality. It's sorrowful to read her relationships with Adrien and Gabriel. However, I think the end of this story is good. Indeed, I dont think she's able to fight Gabriel or to give up her miraculous even if it's for Adrien. And the words you chose to describe the forgiveness of Chat Noir touched me because I never considered this question before. But I think you're right. The Adrien's failures let me think that he can be less forgiving that Ladybug.

Oh, so that's why you've been saying that about the ending, but! Honestly I think this was the best way to finish this fic. If Nathalie were to tell Adrien, or Gabriel, that would just lead to more damage and poorer choices. Keeping her in the same place while not dismissing her inner turmoil and struggles, in a way, shows that she has changed for the better- From emotionless, apathetic Nathalie and destructive Mayura, to a Nathalie who won't stop thinking about her effects on others and a Mayura with endless regrets. I feel so bad for her.
Thank you for writing and sharing this fic, I loved it so much! You really delved deeper in a character whose perspective we barely see in canon, and kept true to that character. Also, your end note has me excited to see what else you have planned in the future. :D Kudos!

A bit depressing ending with her taking again Mayura's mantle, convinced that Gabriel and her will lose at the end.

Oh my God... this was so beautiful from start to finish. I was prepared for tragedy, I was prepared to end up crying in a corner, I wasn't prepared for something so heartwarming and touching as this chapter was. You had me tearing up when Nathalie, even if for a second, thought she might be enough for Adrien. Also, thank god for him and that message right at the beginning (okay, okay, I was tearing up right then too). Also, my predictions were all wrong! I have never been so happy to be so wrong while reading a story. That was a huge HUGE relief.

More story points: Gabriel acting as a normal person! Finally the cracks show! He really better open his eyes to the kind of despair he is leading Nathalie to, though. And to the sort of mentality she has, the "No one will care if I'm gone" mentality. Because, that trade she was so willing to do, isn't something he is willing to partake on. It would probably break his heart even more than it already is. And what might be worse for him is what this chapter made very clear: it would break Adrien's heart also.

Well, at least, it crossed Nathalie's head that her absence might have made matters worse, that is a good thing. Perhaps, Adrien making it so clear to her he likes her, that he missed her, will make her less willing to go to the extremes of last chapter. This is quite the delicate situation she is on with him right now. A very interesting situation.

But, what a relief, everyone is alive. Things aren't fine by any stretch of the imagination but they are still fixable! (and I so hope we won't have glorious angst on Gabriel's side for being a blind idiot and losing everything in the process! I want to be wrong on that too!)

Very good chapter, specially the fight.

I have to point that Ladybug shouldn't have been able to recognize Chat's miraculous when it is not active, so unless she assumed that Mayura was telling the truth she would have recognized Adrien's ring and figure out his identity.

Don't worry for writing her emotional, she found out that one of the person's she cares the most is her enemy and that he trusts her unconditionally.

Wonder if Gabriel checked on Adrien's feelings and noticed that he had certain feelings for Marinette.

Interesting portrait of Mayura, wonder how much of what she feels is due to her miraculous being broken.
