This is really good, I hope you plan to update it in the future.

Really hope this gets updated soon, this is probably my favourite 3H fic on the site. Really expands on what we see throughout the Crimson Flower route, and anything that ships Byleth and Edelgard gets a thumbs-up in my book.

Also hope that once the Church gets dealt with in this fic, you actually show TWSITD getting taken on as well.

I am the reigning, defending, undisputed heavyweight champion of late reviews. My ignoble title aside, this is an excellent chapter, probably my favorite so far alongside chapter 8. The political drama is very well done and Luitpold's rousing speech to Byleth is topped only by Byleth's speech to the Imperial nobles. He basically said, "Listen nerds, I LITERALLY have the power of God and anime on my side, so chill." And you know what? Coming from him that's a hard argument to contend with. And all of Byleth and El's interactions afterwards! Gah, so sweet. You're portraying their budding desire for physical intimacy really well, which is great because as you stated in your author's note it's an important part of any relationship but it's particularly important for theirs, considering Edelgard's insecurity with her scars. And El dreaming of having kids with Byleth! Ajdhfgjdfd. I just hope for their sake she's not the one to name them; Edelgard is a woman of many talents but thing-naming is not among them. C'mon, Black Eagle Strike Force? You were SO close to B.E.S.T.

I don’t personally see Edelgard as someone who’d want children but your perception of Edelgard’s duties and wants was lovely. She deserves to relax but there’s so much for her to do.

In my early days of fanfiction, I straight up loved Cerulean Heart (Cerulean Heart, Crimson Heart, I love the title similarities), so when I noticed not too long ago that you were doing a Byleth x Edelgard story I was overjoyed!

You 100% deserved the Tv Tropes rec. I'm a little behind on your chapters lately and leaving reviews in general, but I can't wait to catch up! Keep up the great work!

Your character development is amazing. The war will soon be back, sadly. Hopefully, that won't stop the Edelgard and Byleth have some moments together. This new direction where they are already in a relationship is shaping up well. Looking forward to the next!

All I can say is wow. The way you transitioned from such a tense tone to such a wholesome one really surprised me in the best way possible. I have reread this chapter three times already because each time I read I feel the emotions like it was the first time. Im going to miss this fluff but I have been really excited to see how you portray the Church and the Kingdom ever sense that Dimitri and Rhea/Seiros scene. Even if it takes you a month per chapter I’ll be camped out here waiting. This is too good to miss.

Wonderful chapter, you did an excellent job portraying both El's and Byleth's character growth you've been putting them through here. With Byleth dealing with his insecurities with politics due to growing up as nothing but a mercenary his whole life, and being unsure what his role is supporting El personally in this area. As well as El struggling with her fear of physical intimacy due to being tortured and experimented on from such a young age which left her so scared mentally and physically (which I find to be one of the most interesting, and least explored aspects of her in the game). Her finally getting a good night's rest after the last chapter was really satisfying and heartwarming. And I like that their growth comes from each other's will to change themselves. Thought the politics were handled really well too. Makes sense nobles would want to use the Alliance as a sacrificial lamb against the Kingdom as a form of reparations and not trusting them after the war, along with El finding a way to politically maneuver around those issues with the house alliances thanks to Byleth's support. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Geez, this is the latest review ever! My bad, I was pretty busy this month. That aside, this chapter was great. Edelgard commissioning a suit of armor for Byleth is sweet and totally something she would do, the dork. And I concur with the other reviewers: I would have loved to see something like that in-game for all of the Houses. Edelgard's Armored Lord and Emperor outfits are amazing so a matching outfit for Byleth would have been great, especially considering I'm not the biggest fan of his Enlightened One look. And that final scene, man. Y u do dis? Also, I rather like this Luitpold fellow. Seems like a distinguished gentleman.
