My goodness! This story is a beautiful gem. Racism is something I cannot understand either, nor do I understand how mental illness can so drastically affect one's ability to reason, yet the ability to learn and process facts doesn't seem impaired. How can there be that much distortion between the facts gathered and perception? Sorry if I ranted. This just hits close to home.

Good story, keep up the good work! And I agree, as a gun owning American woman I'm not actually opposed to gun regulations either, testing such as what they have in Japan would be perfectly fine for America to me as long as they aren't trying to take all guns away from everyone. Guns in the hands of good people are good, just like guns in the hands of evil inflict great damage. As long as the regulations are based on a person's mental state, intelligence, knowledge, and training and not by their religion, political alliance, or race I'm for regulations too.
