Good chapter, except for how Victarion took the Bleeding Tower. Them infiltrating the city, the way they did? Sure, that I believe. But tricking the garrison of the Tower? Those guys where literally waiting for an enemy assault. And even in peace times you shift change showing up two hours early would suspicion. In war times? That alone should have merited an alarm. Not to mention there is no way any of the militiamen would actually believe common pirates would be entrusted with the vitally important job of ensuring the security of the Tower.

Okay, I really liked the chapter, but seriously? One keg of wildfire capable of burning the whole city down? If the building they intended to burn where a storehouse for some flammable goods, that would be different of course. Or Stallen managing to destroy 20 ships and heavily damage 30 more with nothing more than a bow and fire arrows? Ships are made of wood, not oil.

I can already see dozens of problems with Grazdan's plans and hopes. It would certainly be very satisfying to see him and his likes get their eventual comeuppance.

You know, besides being made hand or fist now, Eddard hasn't really gotten anything. He doesn't have a lordship, per even a manor. And I'm heading he is sleeping in a guest room of the palace. What has he gained from this for his descendants . He didn't even get to have his vengance.
