I've recently started getting into Shinachiku and I'm loving him especially the version of him that takes more after Sakura more than Naruto so I'm loving your story so far, keep going.

Doesn't Mikoto have the Sharingan yet?

At first I was surprised that Shinachiku got worn out so easily, given he's an Uzumaki himself (and partly so is Mikoto through her mother). Then I realized just because your chakra is vibrant or whatnot, it doesn't automatically translate to high-end physical stats.

Kakashi coming up with mission limitations for genin sounds very much like him. I also like the contrast between 'Old' and 'New' Konoha. Hope that gets explored some more in the future.

I'm honesty surprised Suigetsu is still around. I'd have thought he'd have gone back to Kiri, especially with that sword of his.

And speaking of surprises...interesting dreams Shinachiku has. LOL at Hanami though, first with her unique way of waking her brother up, and then bringing up that embarrassing episode between Sasuke and Naruto XD

So...is Mai's surname being a sore point due to Tenten being a single mom? At least that's what it seems to me, based on what I gathered from Facets of the Future. Maybe she - Mai - was born out of a fling, and/or the father refused to take responsibility.

About Mikoto though...given the name and ancestry, might she perhaps resemble her grandmother, only with red hair instead of black? Considering both Kushina and Mikoto were best friends, those two would absolutely love the idea.

Huh...that bit about Mikoto and Shinachiku being behind Mai in terms of stamina makes sense. Ditto for Shinachiku having both Sakura's 'monstrous' strength, and her perfect chakra control. That makes me wonder, though: does Hanami have either or both as well.
