Nicely done, also as to why Darkos wouldn't work for him. Bit of a pity, but what is is.

As he himself also said in a slightly different way.

Well, that's a big load of nothing as he only represents the Kingdom of Atlas and as such doesn't have the jurisdiction to make proclamations for the other nations.

Which makes it clear that this is just scaremongering and a power grab.

- Fight
While the OP angle would further the whole Goodwitch goofed by expelling them angle.

It doesn't change the fact that from a tactical POV, Jaune is in a pinch, especially as Goodwitch would help out the Atlesians.

Doesn't matter how OP you are. Marrow and Goodwitch's Semblances combined are an utter PITA, combine that with Harriet's speed (thus possibly going for a hostage angle on his daughters or Blake) as well as Ironwood there. Plus possible aerial bombardment by the sky ship.

Then toss in Blake being pregnant. Yeah from a tactical side, Jaune wouldn't be able to do it on his own with his skill set, no matter how strong he is.

(Even with the varying plot bunny Jaune's of my own, only two would be able to pull that off and both are magic based. One has Nasuverse Servants at his disposal, the other has a Sacred Gear containing one of Malygos' daughters from the Warcraft setting. So that means both Arcane and Frost based magic. Everyone else would need help.)

At the least your Jaune would need Pyrrha's help, if only to counter Goodwitch. Possibly Ruby to offset Harriet, as that would leave Jaune vs. Marrow and Ironwood. Which while a very tough fight, he should be able to pull off with his current skill set.

Course Nora and Ren harassing Marrow, so it's an Ironwood vs. Jaune fight would be more ideal.

Still it would mean getting blacklisted by Atlas for their actions (at the least). Then again, fairly sure that Menagerie would welcome an experienced Huntsmen Team of NPR and Ruby, irrespective of them being humans.

As it would mean clearing out more of the island from the Grimm for inhabitation. Even more so, if Jaune can keep Kuo Kuana inviolate from them as a safe operating base.

Course if it does get driven that far, than I'm rather expecting Ozzie to off Glynda for all that her bungling has cost him. As well as tearing Ironwood a new *sshole for going along with her.

Plus, there's the Arcs reaction to all of this and the threats to their grandkids (both born and unborn).

Either way, time to bug out for Jaune's family.

Now that I think about it, I haven't read a fic in the last month or two that paints Goodwitch in a good light or as an even remotely likeable or actually good person as a character. Doesn't bother me, I'm not particularly fond of her in canon, but it's interesting.

As always, terrific work with the chapter, well worth the wait, even with how kinda short it was.
For Jaune’s status... Well, whatever you feel works, though I certainly have no complaints in making him as strong as possible, especially with the potential future prospects he and Blake may face, really reassuring us that he can handle anything that may threaten his family... So, I'm all for OP Jaune if that is what you'll go for (besides, the standards for OP-ness are basically completely arbitrary anyway, so as long as it doesn't completely break the world, it doesn't truly matter how strong you make Jaune, just as long as you keep the story interesting in your own way. No limit to the way you can do things but your imagination after all.)
So yea: Perfectly okay with OP Jaune, can't wait to see him handle the Special Ops and the Tinman, good to see your work again, thank you, and have a good one.

OP the hell out of him. He curb stomped Yang, so why should a few "normal" soldiers be any different. And dear God's, Glynda gonna get an ass chewing. Can't wait for the next installment
