so far I really enjoy the story. the way you put the "cub stuff" makes seem so natural that it does not have the gross or inaproprite feel. I'll add a new comment when I'm done.

Ok, first of all I do have to say wow… because this was a fantastic story. Kind of like how Kopa was looking for the perfect Kingdom, I myself was looking for a perfect post Season 3 fic, and I certainly found one. I guess that stemmed really from the Season 3 ending, while a suitable and viable ending, it felt somewhat unfulfilling, in a way. This story here, corrects that. Not only is it a continuation with our favourite characters being further developed, it expanded further by introducing more that were just as interesting, as well as expanding on a lot on the world building. It felt real, like if Disney was to make a fourth season, or spin off, I would not be disappointed if they come up with something similar to this, because let’s face it, there needed to be a story like this, with villain of this calibre, and we needed to see the next generation, because as we know The Lion King is a coming of age story, and now The Lion Guard have fully completed theirs, and moved on to the next one.

I would however, have loved to have seen some sort of a backstory for our malicious villains, Radcliffe in particular, because I knew I couldn’t be the only person to think of the idea of a ‘Dark Roar’ so I’m so glad you introduced that. But, rather than just him being evil for evils own sake (not that there is anything wrong with that at all) there had to have been some sort of catalyst. A theory, or idea I could put out there, that maybe he could possibly be a descendant of the evil lions that attacked the Pridelands, back when Askari discovered the Roar of the Elders, and subsequently formed the first Lion Guard that defeated them. That could possibly explain Radcliffe’s general ‘evilness’, and his surviving ancestors to try and find a way to counteract the Roar with their own Dark Roar. It would certainly tie in with the lore already stated in The Lion Guard, but as I said, just a theory/idea I’m putting out there.

Also, just to throw some writing pointers (at which point I cannot say I am diligently experienced enough to do so, so feel free to ignore), I do think you need to go back and carefully proofread and edit, as there were a number of misplaced words in each chapter, and sometimes where characters names were misspelled, which can really throw off the flow of a good read at times. Another thing I noticed was the speech; while there was nothing wrong with the speech in general, like, at all really… but sometimes I found that when someone was speaking, someone else would then make a gesture in that same paragraph. I don’t know, I just found it confusing at times, because usually if a different character made a gesture, that too would be on a new paragraph. Then again that might just be me being an idiot! As I know everyone has a different writing/reading style.

To wrap up, this is definitely a story worthy for any Lion Guard fan to read; characters are in character, excellent storytelling, intense fight scenes, and I’ll admit some very sad, horrific and yet adorable moments. Definitely not a story to pull any punches, you know, for a series originally aimed at kids. And also, to pump out nearly 80,000 words in what I assume was the space of a just over a month… damn, that’s dedication! And it shows with this marvellous story, so thank you so much for sharing it with us all.
No one important chapter 1 . 10/11/2019
This is amazing! I’ve only read the first chapter and I’m already in love!

My only fault with it is that near the end you said it was three Tsavo lions, and the wounded one had a dark mane, but male lions from Tsavo don’t grow manes.

That aside, I can’t wait to read more!
