Aw, that's sweet. They totally should have done this instead. The Dark World was kind of disappointing in that they didn't bother asking Loki anything, at all. But I guess all of that happened in an alternate timeline, so it doesn't exist anymore, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Loved this rewrite, just what I would have wanted to see!

I’ve always thought Loki deserved better, since nobody knew of his suffering and I was disappointed that Thor did not realize anything. It’s kind of saddening how Thor claims he loved his brother and thought the world of him but he couldn’t even see that his eyes were a different colour, that he was tired and broken and says Loki is the worst brother.
