I think I already love the Blackjack! To think of all the neat nooks and crannies, makes me want to reorganize everything in my house haha!
Im really enjoying Setzers fascination with Alia.. Not his physical attraction(thats nice too!) but the little things he notices about her and that she notices about him. Looking forward to their relationship becoming more, but I love the begining stages filled with curiosity and snark of course! I loved the cards scene, they've always fascinated me, and it's interesting how she uses a playing deck as a substitute.
I think the way the chapter ended a little heavier felt rather fitting for all that has transpired in this chapter. maybe the loss she's seeing in the cards is simply(but not so simply) her innocence...when she takes her first life, she's devastated. While still determined to fight on, she's able to admit that it's tearing her up and I think that's extremely big of her to look someone, still a stranger, in the eye and say I'll do it again for your sake, and now mine too.

Absolutely damanding another chapter! I think I love the blackjack, curious to learn more of it. I'm with Edgar when he let his curiosity get the better of him.
Oooh and that sexy snark! Whew* the way they flirt is fun and has a hint of danger. Impatiently awaiting more lol

Oh my gosh, her reaction to soap! I love it! I can only imagine how many times in the last two days she wished for a shower (most of us would, just after her first night of partying) I like how realistically she's taking everything as best she can, not without conplaint necessarily, but without becoming a hindrance. She's already stepping up and pulling her own weight. I think all of us have a little "I want to live in that universe" in various stories, but coming to the realization all the enemies, magic, and potential storyline is all stacked up against you, would be a little(okay, maybe a lot) terrifying. So, good for her!

This is particularly exciting as I havent played any of the final fantasies (please dont shun me lol) I feel like this is a story a bit less popular than that of 7 and I think you are the one to tell it! Of course with your nice little twist on itI always enjoy reading your stories, your style is refreshing and your OCs are wonderfully created. The characters from the games are always, well, in character. Excited to see where things go from here!
