jennyfair chapter 1 . 10/13/2019 OH MY HEART. This is so lovely! I genuinely wasn't sure how it was going to end, but it was perfect! |

faded-florals chapter 1 . 10/8/2019 Alright, this story is absolutely beautiful. I never would have guessed you don’t write much R/C, your characterization of both of them separately but especially as a couple felt so spot on and really hit all my buttons! I particularly love how clearly you describe their physical interactions, like where their hands are while they speak. It paints such an intimate picture that swept me away. I was so worried when Christine was in the medical house and they brought in the injured man… but then for it to be Erik and the Persian was so perfect. I love how they shared a sweet moment over how they were married ‘In a way’, and then how you tied them back to Raoul as well at the end! AU GOLD. The ending is so satisfying, I just want them to sit on the porch in rocking chairs watching the sunset and be happy for the rest of forever. Thank you for writing this beautiful piece! |
LittleLongHairedOutlaw chapter 1 . 10/7/2019 i don't even know what to say. this is just gorgeous. i nearly bloody cried several times. there's a great contrast between the innocence of the beginning, and then the horror of the war, and raoul coming home. i had such hope that he would and i'm so glad he did but it was wrenching reading - first the description of philippe's death and the waiting for him. i loved the way you worked in erik, and that he was the one who freed raoul in the end. it was such a lovely touch of pharoga and he had befriended christine was very sweet. i love this fic and if i wrote 1000 words of a review it would not be enough. thank you for writing it and thank you so much for entering! |
ghostwritten2 chapter 1 . 10/7/2019 I rarely read R/C fics, but I wanted to read this one. And I'm so glad I did; it's really, really good. You made both the time period and the characters come alive. |
