Well, if GilGil Machine isn't an Archer, and I believe that he was fighting Medea, and she is clearly a Caster, then he's not a Caster either, then... Saber, perhaps? If Counter Guardian Shirou Emiya can use swords as an Archer, why couldn't GilGil be a Saber with long-range attack? He can qualify as a Rider thanks to Vimana, and he also has spears in the Gate that can make him a Lancer. And considering his actions in the Einzbern castle in the UBW route, he can be an Assassin, even if he tries to deny it. Unless... Can he qualify as a Ruler Servant? Nah. Considering that he has a wish, he cannot be one, as Rulers are required to not have any wishes upon the Grail. An Avenger? Avenging what? That 'mongrels' defiled his 'garden'? Meh. Flimsy reason to avenge.

So gilgamesh is a caster in this one. Nice! And i am wondering what would happen to DRby if she is going to become a counter guardian? Would her name be counter guardian ROSE and pull an archer aka killing her past self so she wouldm't become a hero

Now I am super curious about what class Gil is. Since it is not one of the usuals Archer & Caster are out. He qualifies for Berserker but does not seem crazy, so I doubt that is it, unless he is operating without Madness Enhancement. Saber & Lancer are both options as he has the necessary weapons in the Gate, but he probably wouldn't be using them as projectiles, or if he was he'd at least be holding weapons in his hand, like the Prototype version does. I guess he is a Rider? He does have Vimana & was known to ride chariots. I guess Jaune could have somehow summoned him as a Ruler? I mean the whole reason he was in the Fourth War was to prevent someone unworthy from getting "his" cup.

Glad to see someone seriously examining Ruby's desire to be a "Storybook Hero Huntress" & the resulting conflict with reality. The show handles that really poorly. Pyrrha is really the only times she failed to save someone (though I guess the sadness from Beacon is present, but that was more her being upset at tragedy as opposed to a personal issue that caused guilt). Even then, that is mostly just sadness from not arriving in time, not the despair from being forced to kill someone to save others. The convenient soulless monsters are convenient.

Honestly, she reminds me more of Kiritsugu than Shirou. Shirou pursued heroism because he wanted to be like Kiritsugu, & because prevent anyone from being hurt (literally wanted to save everyone, even those in fire, which is why Archer comments about failing before he started). Kiritsugu was pursuing a childish wish that was ingrained due to trauma. He was also a lot freer about attacking others, where Shirou was upset when Kirei pointed out that to be a hero there needs to be a villain, & in several routes died trying to protect people that literally were actively trying to kill him.

Im gonna go ahead and guess gilgamesh is lancer which is funny to me more than interesting since in fate stay night ubw and fate zero gil was an archer and always ended up hating the lancer servants. Especially lancelot from zero.
