I really liked how you show Dark Future Phantom having second thoughts, though if if his ultimate goal is to fade or die, he might actually be more inclined to change his past. Even if he is left outside of time, he would eventually fade as he wishes besides if that happens, he really wouldn't be worse off than the lonely existence in a devastated world he lives in now.
